Appearance

Curse is a tall (6’3”) chubby tanned man with shaggy medium black hair. His eyes have black sclera, brown pupils and a glowing neon green ring around them. He has red “tattoos” on his face, near his eyes, on his forehead and around his cheeks. These tattoos are also present on the rest of his body. His forearms have shaggy grey fur that cuts off at his wrists and darker grey clawed hands. He has this same shaggy fur around his ankles where his feet are also darker grey and clawed. He has a long grey jereboa-like tail tipped with a large tuft of bright orange fur.

He tends to wear t-shirts or polos (often striped ones!) and jeans or sweats.

Personality

Curse is an optimistic and generally upbeat person. He likes to see others happy and strives to help those around him be happy, often being very generous. He’s extremely diligent in all he does, striving for perfection, something that stems from his OCD. His self-esteem tends to be based on this and while he doesn’t necessarily have low self-esteem, how he views himself is rooted in how he views his works. He finds anything more social than a day with his friends nerve-wracking and while he can cope usually, he wishes he could be somewhere else. Despite this, he comes off as a very easy person to talk to and he often is. He tends to be naive and despite being smart, can be slow to realize things.

He tends to overworry but dislikes it when others know how much he does. When he was younger, he’d flat out want to fake his happiness but between disappointment from his mother and wife, he tries to be more genuine with his less positive emotions.

History

Curse is a single child to his mother Holly and a man she frankly regrets having a child with. His father wasn’t a good person and left the whole family a wreck, Curse being self-conscious and anxious in particular. When he was still young, his mother broke it off with him and moved away with Curse.

Curse moved out when he was twenty, having a somewhat stable job in his Let’s Play channel LuckyCatCurse. He was able to move into a nice place and continued work on his own channel and one he collabs with his friends Frostbite and Kai, who he met when he was eighteen.

Late that next year, when he was twenty-one, his friends dragged him to a holiday party, under the guise of helping him socialize. When they ended up doing their own things, Curse ended up drifting to Saphire, who was there under similar circumstances. The two bonded fast, especially because Curse was happy to assist her as she was in dire straits.

What started out as a fast friendship turned into a romantic relationship. It wasn’t for even another year when Curse proposed and they were engaged. Nowadays, the two are happily married with kids Kyle, Esmeralda and Emmanuel.

Skills

He, in general, is very intelligent and is able to grasp things very quickly. He’s got a natural knack for technology, able to build things on his own.

While Curse is a cyber demon, his earthly origins make him closer to human. Thus, he lack a lot of the powers he’d be afforded if he spent time in Cyberspace. He however has a minor ability to influence electricity and electronics that he really only uses to fix things.

He’s not a half bad cook and baker and often does it more out of him and his wife.

He can play a piano, albeit not professionally.

Trivia

• He has OCD and is on the autistic spectrum.
• In regards to his OCD; it manifests in a desire of keeping things neat and orderly so his life reflects that. Disorder distresses him. He tends to double-lock things just be sure. This also manifests in his perfectionism and he often subconsciously links his self-worth to his works.
• In regards to his autism; loud noises don’t often bother him as he’s loud himself (often without realizing!). He likes soft things best but things that bother him include velvet, sandpaper, silky fabrics and things with irregular bumps. His tail tends to be the focus of most of his stims; swishing it really quickly, moving/twisting it in various ways, tapping it in time, etc. You can tell if he’s in deep thought by looking at his tail and if it’s moving.
• Due to him being a cyber demon, he is mostly immune to Earth-borne illnesses. Minor things that colds can still affect him. He is, however, not immune to illnesses that can target cyber beings.
• He is tone-deaf and can’t really sing as a result. He can, however, keep a tune by humming.
• He can roll his r’s.
• He LOVES puns. Bad, good, clever, dumb, he knows it and he will tell you it.
• While his vision is not terrible, he still needs glasses for reading and driving.
• He is trilingual; English being his first language, Spanish being his second which he can speak pretty well and French which he is rusty in.
• His nickname “Curse” stems from an inside joke between him and Frostbite, from when he insisted Curse was a curse on him as he stole all his good luck. This further inspired his channel’s name “LuckyCatCurse”.
• He doesn’t know how much stock he puts in luck but does tend to have very good luck.
• A cherished item of his is a floppy and orange plush cat that was one of the few Christmas gifts he got the year after his parents separated. It’s his favorite stuffed animal from his childhood and a comfort item as a result.
• Curse was created in 2013 as an “Evil Youtuber” version of Chuggaaconroy, named Chuggaacurseroy and made such by LP. After a while, I decided to divorce the character from the initial concept.
