Goliath ✦

A nameless demon had fallen in love with an angel, who was fearful of being exiled because of their love. The demon told the lover that even if the angel were to be exiled, they'd have a home with him. So the angel named the demon Goliath ("exile"), the comfort of their worries. When their relationship was discovered by the heavens, a fate worse than exile faced the angel. 

The angel was given and ultimatum from the Heaven's: All would be forgotten if they slay Goliath and never let something like that happen again, or be crucified to atone for their betrayal. They chose the later out of their love for the demon, and soon after being hung up, Goliath came to free them. But the demon's flesh was incapable of even touching the angel-blessed spikes bounding his lover. The angel told Goliath to drink the blood dripping from their wounds to gain enough immunity/strength to remove the spikes, which worked, The higher power of angels soon notice and begin their descent as Goliath begins plotting an escape, but the angel said they were out of time and strength to fight back. 

With their dying words, the angel pleads to their beloved to devour/absorb them, as it'd give Goliath their holy immunity and strength to either escape and live, or fight back to at least take out a few angels. Goliath is hesitant at first, but is convinced to do so after being told them and their power would always be with him. Once finished, the angels descend upon the crucifixion site and are horrified to see the now transformed and even more powerful beast that was Goliath. He informs the angels that they would now face his flames of judgement, and burns them to ashes with ease. 

While the Heaven's held no bounty on Goliath and was seemingly unaffected by the losses, the archangel lord of the now vanquished angel squadron held a personal vendetta against Goliath, as their deaths while under his order led to the his deranking. The angel, Sahaquiel, was stripped of his sight and a pair of his 4 wings, and began an active hunt for the demon full of hatred towards the Heaven's, in order to restore what he had lost. But with every encounter they had, Goliath became stronger than the last, and Sahaquiel would have to retreat. Goliath would drink the blood of many more angels to increase his strength and alter his form. But he never fully devours/absorbs them, as that privilege of unity was only for Goliath's lost beloved.
