A daimon without a title; the broken pariah. Formerly a beneficai (angel) of Temperantia, daimon lord of restraint and the quelling of the inner beast. Plagued by his divine creed - an everpresent hunger that cannot be abated, and must be resisted at all times - he appeared as a great stone wolf-beast that guarded the gates of Her domain, and ventured forth to strike down Her foes when requested.
On one such venture, that hunger became unbearable - and the daimon lost control. Amid the slaughter, the angel-beast tasted the flesh of mortalkind for the first time - and changed. Its stone body cracked and split, revealing crystalline wounds that ache and bleed aether constantly when transformed. To temper that bleeding power, he finds himself bound to a mortal form most of the time, or the form of a woeful aetherling with bleeding crystal wounds. He tried to return to his lord to plead forgiveness, but none is spared for those who violate the Decree. As his former comrades among Temperantia's retinue raised claw, blade, and spell to strike him down upon Her orders, he fled into the aether until his crumbling wings could carry him no more.
There he found himself fallen at the feet of another of his kind; a daimon who knew the taste of chaos. A daimon stripped of title who shattered the divine decree.
This was Rue - the Crimson Maiden, sworn of steel and vengeance.
In her allegiance, he would gain a new name - Kamen, the Broken - and as he gladly accepted her offer, he was gifted new guardianship. He now serves as Lieutenant Commander of the Bloodsworn, and is rarely seen absent from the side of the brutal Crimson Maiden.
