Yellow Diamond was one of the later productions of Metallic Diamond's "factory," and surprisingly, the first (known) repeat color of Diamond to exist. Canon yellow was intrigued by the existence of a fellow yellow diamond, one who appeared to share a lot of her personality and ambition. She tried to take the new yellow diamond under her wing, and for a time they got along. But the new Yellow Diamond's ambition was unchecked, and she lacked the experience and discipline of older Yellow. The younger diamond craved conflict, and threatened the newly established era of peace. Older Yellow had grown admittedly attached, and tried to talk sense into her. But, was too late, as Metallic Diamond just offered her a colony of her own, and young Yellow was eager to accept. She didn't know it at the time, but Yellow would become Metal's pawn in her coming war.
