A half-human dark draltur, Nicholas is an infamous apothecary known for being allegedly the strongest and most cappable witch in human lands. He won't confirm nor deny this, yet he always seems very pleased with himself anytime someone mentions this rumor. Having been raised as a human, Nick is a very interesting case of a literal walking culture shock. He firmly believes in the gods and traditions of remnant culture, yet he's that one asshole who sets up his christmas tree in september and takes it down in march.

Orphaned really young, Nick spent his entire childhood stuck in foster care. The circumstances of his parents death, or even their identity, was a mystery to everyone tasked with taking care of him, and so he ended up being raised as a human, oblivious to his draltur heritage. Changing homes a little too often, he learned very early not to get attached, which wasn't hard, since most of his foster parents were mediocre at best, and with his bad attitude, it was easier to pick up in all of the bad, instead of on the little good things.

When he was 14, he had a small accident that ended up with the kitchen curtains on fire. It was at that moment that the idea that he might not be completely human first became a reality to him. The more time passed, the more he noticed how he was changing into something clearly not human. Up to this point, he'd had pretty much no contact with anything other than a very human enviroment, and he hadn't even met any other remnant before, so the shock and uncertainty, coupled with the early signs of his desorder being completely ignored, did a number on his self-image and general mental health.

He didn't trust anyone with what was happening to him, instead isolating himself and slowly drowning in his insecurities and steadily growing self hatred. He developed many terrible coping mechanisms at the time, which included several self-harming habits, smoking and general isolation.

Eventually, during a particularly bad mixed episode, he came up with the idea that if they couldn't find him, they couldn't stop him, and that's how he ended up bleeding out in a back alley deep in remnant territory.

Fortunately, this led to a chance encounter with Silver, who after stumbling into the scene, took it upon herself to help him out. Having been through a far bit of shit herself, she dedicated a lot of time to his recovery, not only physical but emotional, as she educated him on his newfound draltur heritage, and paid for his therapy herself. She legally adopted him a couple of months later (Or so she says, he's pretty sure she bribed a couple of people).

His coping mechanisms continue to be shit but this time in new and exciting ways, his late-teens to early adulthood were an absolute trainwreck, he started using sex and hookups as pretty much his only way to deal with his issues, he overcompesates his self-hate by being an absolute inssuferable jerk, he was an absolute pain to be around, and didn't seem to be able to hold a relationship for over a week, but somehow was never single. This is what comes to be known as his Slut Phase. nobody ever lets him forget it.

Its during this Slut Phase of his that he meets Quincy, another half-human with identity issues that also coped with his issues with sex.
You see where this is going.
They ended up becoming really good friends, having at the same time lots of things in common, and absolutely nothing in common. Quincy, coming from a very afluent family, ran away as a teenager because of a bad relationship with his father, something that Nick could sort of understand but not really relate, at the same time they both had to deal with the culture shock of their humanity.
Quincy was, surprisingly, a pretty good influence in Nicholas, helping him reconcile those two sides of his identity and encouraging him to form better, healthier, actually invested relationships.

And boy did he.

She's always wanted to had kids, but was unable to due to some unfortunate genetics, so when she met Nick, she almost immediately wanted to help him out.

Some people might say they rushed their relationship (they did). But they've managed to stick together and nowadays its hard to see one without the other.

Name: Quill Relationship: Best Friend Age: ??  Gender: Male Species: Half-Human Tamer  Quote: "I'm sorry darling, my pride is worth more than that" Having met during a very unstable moment in Nick's life, Quincy is one of his closest friends. They've seen eachother through trash and shit, and so they're both pretty confident in their relationship and have a lot of trust in eachother. Nick may be a little overprotective at times, which is both really endearing And annoying.

Dark Is Not Evil

Nick is a Dark Draltur, and of course he specializes in Dark Magic. His signature hability is being able to control shadows to his will, which look very menacing and creepy. He's also a tattoo artist and wears almost exclusively dark gray colors. But he's not evil, I swear.

Bi the Way

Very much bisexual. While he did have a womanizing past (with a couple of guys thrown in) Nowadays Nick is very casual with his sexuality, and doesn't really think or care about relationships in general (until he meets Sasha). He'll admit he likes girls better, but somehow usually ends up with guys. He's not complaining.

Face of a Thug

Poor Nicky has a massive RBF, he always looks angry and that causes people to avoid him a lot. If you actually try approaching thim though, he's very nice and talktative, and will probably smile as soon as you talk to him.

• As a leftover habit from his self-harming tendencies, he draws on himself a lot.
• He's a vegetarian.
• One of his medications reacts terribly to alcohol, so he rarely ever drinks.
• You won't find him dead wearing colorfull clothes.
• He'd rather cut off an arm before cutting of his hair. Someone tried it once and he lit their house on fire.
• He's a pretentious fuck when it comes to art. his eyes aren't red, they're "Carmine" and his hair isn't purple, its "Minsk".
