Fledgling

His life was fairly standard for him! He grew up, learned and spent time with his family unit. He had friends and interests and overall things were obscenely normal for him. For a time anyway.

Young Adult

Killing someone was not how he'd expected to save someone else. When he'd first stabbed the person it was out of sheer desperation. Organ translants were expensive and hard to orchestrate. The person had been a blight, no one would miss them, but someone else more deserving really could have used that organ. Damocles shook off the shock, packaged and delivered the guts to a doctor. The whole thing had been pre-arranged.
Everything had worked out and a life had been saved in the end. After the surgery the browbird somehow had been called back by that surgeon. In the course of months he was turned into a repo man of sorts, and continued to collect organs from other eye sores of the community to help save other lives. He wasn't sure if it was noble or disgusting, but he was good at it...so the cycle continued.

Adult | Current

Working in the black market was not the path he'd suspected to find himself down, but he supposed it also made sense given his prior job. The money was good, the product was relatively easy for him to get at this point and the contacts he made were enjoyable, if not a bit dramatic at times. Damocles rubbed elbows with many of the other crime lords in the seas, though his operation was arguably on a much smaller scale than theirs. Still, they never looked down on him and he still has his invite to the table. He was cool, collected and calm when he communicated with the others and prided himself in being rather unflappable when it comes to discussions and social politics. He had a good thing going for him, why walk it back now?
But that too changed when he lost a game against Charos, the ferryman himself. He was welcomed in by death incarnate and Charos now uses the browbird's unique skillset in tandem with his high stakes games. The two work well together, despite Damocles being bitter about losing.

Aspects

• Speech: Damocles had a way of talking people up, using his charms and aspect to keep everyone off of his trail while also using it to get information out of others. It all worked a bit too well for him.
• Blood: Damocles has careful, deft little hands and was able to remove organs without causing too much damage to the both them and the host. Until they bled out anyway. But the organs and body parts themselves were quite safe! His blood aspect also helped him learn medicine and surgery skills at a rapid pace.
• Synchrony: WIP

• Despite running a very illegal operation, Damocles tries to avoid taking from those who he thinks are already down on their luck. He's not a monster, he's just a business man after all.
• Damocles prefers to do all of his harvesting alone. He doesn't work with others because it'd simply complicate things.
• He keeps in touch with his family fairly closely and sends them money to keep them going. He did it all for them anyway. Not that they'd ever know it.
• The browbird isn't squeamish in the slightest around gore or blood. He seems to mentally disconnect from it and it turns into work versus a crime scene.
• He loves to cook! Don't worry he's not putting his product in the cooking. That'd just be a waste.
