Bios

Toni aims to be the sweetest boy he can be. His freckled cheeks and soft sweaters make it hard not to want to hug him! He’s very much ‘the cute one’ of the band. He loves dancing, stuffed animals, and his mom. Other than performing, he doesn’t have any special skills, unless wearing colorful sweaters counts. His voice is a little weak and scratchy, and he doesn’t present himself as coolly as the others, but he is the second best dancer of the group. His band also appreciates his effort to help out. Though shy and overlooked by the fanbase, he loves his fans, and he wants them to know that. Being an idol can be confusing at times, but he’s going to keep trying until he gets it!

Personality

Toni’s interests and mannerisms make him can come off as childish, but despite his naivety he’s very responsible. He strives to do his part however he can, offering to do odd jobs for the others. Toni wants people to like him, and tries his best to earn their love via hard work and being cute. In return, he pours his love into all of his friendships, especially in the form of hugs. He cares deeply for others’ feelings, even those he ascribes to inanimate objects, since he rarely had human friends growing up. He has his limits, even still. Though he’s sensitive, Toni will fight back if someone is mean to him. 

Sometimes Benji can’t afford to buy him similar outfits as his bandmates, his clothes end up being somewhat quirky and off. Toni loves this, and adopted it as his fashion sense. He wears two layers of clothing most of the time, and having no sleeves can make him feel uncomfortable. Short sleeves are okay, though.

Backstory

Toni grew up with his mom and brother. They didn't have much and their mom had to work long shifts at the local diner, but they understood she was doing it for them. Still, he missed her a lot, and Maxy wasn't helping him with any of the cooking or cleaning or his homework, so he spent most days lonely. Unlike Maxy, Toni didn't learn English early on and at school, he would get teased for it, among many other things. Since their mom didn't really have the time to teach him, she had Maxy do it. One day, Maxy and his friend Yoshi took Toni along with them to goof off with them and through a series of events, they got recruited into Benji's Entertainment. Toni was a star now. He couldn't understand how, though, because their band wasn't really that good. He tried telling Maxy and Yoshi this, but they didn't listen to him because they were older. Not wanting to lose his job, Toni left the band, but he wasn't sure if he could go solo, he was too shy to join Roller Breakers' close-knit group, and he couldn't play an instrument, so joining Adios was out of the question. But two of the members of those two groups left and were gonna form their own group, so Toni worked up the nerve to see if he could join them. It ended up working out for him, and now he's a part of Hinito! He feels a lot better in this group. The others actually listen to his suggestions!

Relationships

Higgy - "He's soooooo coool!! I wanna be like him one day!" Toni always thought Higgy was cool, but Higgy didn't really trust Toni when he first joined the group. After Toni was able to prove himself willing to put in the work, Higgy gradually warmed up to Toni. Toni thinks Higgy is talented, graceful, and beautiful, and Toni wants to follow in his footsteps (literally, if talking about dancing.) He's thrilled when Higgy gives him any sort of encouragement. Toni's also grateful that Higgy can go head to head with Maxy and win! Higgy inspires him.

Nicky - "He's so nice! I love him!" Nicky is a life-saver. If it wasn't for him, Toni wouldn't have been allowed to join his and Higgy's band. Toni finds Nicky to be cool in his own way. Nicky's just himself, and everyone loves him for it. It makes Toni want to be himself, too. Though Toni secretly gets a kick out of seeing other people's horrified reactions to his clothes, he really appreciates Nicky's genuine support. Nicky's really silly, which Toni enjoys. Sometimes Nicky will put on a puppet show using his stuffed animals. He's really good at that, and it makes Toni laugh. When Toni is crying, Nicky is usually the one that cheers him up. He's the only one in the group that will let Toni give him a hug, because Higgy's not really a big fan of hugs.

Maxy - "Big meanie!!" Toni and Maxy have been a thorn in each other's side for as long as they could remember. To this day, he plays pranks on him and holds his toys for ransom. But now, Toni has friends to help him out, specifically Higgy. Higgy can go toe-to-toe with Maxy so that he doesn't bother Toni as much. Though, Maxy has done nice things for him in the past, like beat up his bullies for him, and take care of him when he's sick. And if Maxy were ever feeling bad, Toni would make sure to be there for him.

Mai - "Mai is my little sister and I love her with all of my heart!" Toni makes it a point to smother Mai with love and affection. He's so proud of her. She's smarter than him, tougher than him, more talented, and even taller than him, and he loves that about her. He's her one-person cheerleading squad! He has to admit he's pretty worried about her safety, though. The fights she gets into are a lot worse than the ones Maxy had when they were kids. Toni's always there to patch Mai up if she gets hurt. Toni appreciates that Mai is willing to listen to him cry, and he's willing to listen to her vent. He wants to help her in any way he can.

Kenji - "He's a great teacher and helps me a lot. I wish I wasn't so dumb..." Toni has had some teachers over the years that made him feel like he did everything wrong, but Kenji isn't one of those. Toni is grateful that Kenji does his best to try to help Toni understand things in class, and doesn't make him feel bad for not catching on. If Toni has a non-class-related problem, he feels like he can tell Kenji about it. He also likes tending to Kenji's plants.

Benji - "Benji's really nice to me!" When Toni first started out, Benji did warn him that stagefright was a one-way ticket out of the company, but Toni got over that pretty quickly and now they're on good terms. Benji misheard Toni's last name and since then, it stuck as his stage name.

Tsuki - "Tsuki is so talented and pretty and nice to me! I love her and I'm glad we're friends." Tsuki is one of Toni's best friends. Toni admires her confidence and caring nature. The two are there for each other through laughter, tears, and a wealth of other emotions. He confides in her when he's feeling down. Toni aspires to be Tsuki's #1 fan, no matter what her other fans say!
