Summary
Francis is a timid medicine man who picked up the job because of his constantly ill friend. He's a quiet guy who doesn't smile a lot but does enjoy good company. Originally destined to become a businessman like his absent parents, but changed his studies to medicine man when he wanted to achieve more than that. He takes enjoyment in helping other people and finding cures for the ill. He hasn't had the best relationship with his parents ever since but makes up for it with his friendship with Riley and his family. |  Art by Virune |
Physical description
Francis is a tall and buff man, standing 182cm or 6 feet tall and weighing 92kg or 203 lbs. He's got natural build-up of fat and with exercise only builds some extra muscle instead of burning off his fat. He's got broad shoulders and hips and a bit of a belly. His nose is pretty long and thin yet flat in shape. His face has an oval shape with longer features and his amber eyes are slightly hooded. His hair's a reddish purple in colour and is very curly at shoulder length. He has goat-like white horns which curl all the way to in front of his pointed ears.
His body's structure has a role in keeping him warm and he has a high tolerance for cold, which means he rarely wears more than a thick sweater and long pants. He has a preference for red sweaters and cream coloured trousers with either leather shoes or mid-shin boots. When visiting patients he wears a light grey coat over his attire.

Personality
Francis is a social man, albeit very quiet and calm. He gets a lot of enjoyment out of being around people and needs regular contact to keep going. Still, he doesn't speak all that much when he doesn't have to, he's more to the point. He keeps a lot of his emotions internalised but doesn't lack a good sense of humour. It's not that he's a bitter person, he's just happy being passive in conversations. He feels like he wants to help people with his medicine but never had the heart to decline learning surgery when it was asked of him.
He's a bit impulsive. For a long time he didn't have big plans for his own, but when he thought he finally had a purpose he dived into it head-first and was lucky enough for it to be something he was interested in. He doesn't consider his choices a lot, so he chooses to go studying medicine and taking on the responsibility of taking care of his sick best friend without as much as a second thought. He does regret some choices he made that way but can accept that's just how they went.
Francis is fairly strong academically speaking but isn't that good at practical application. It's an annoyance of his and he tries to compensate with longer days, but at the same time is the type of person who would stay home on a day if he could.
