Seraphir

A ‘dappling’ pattern can be found all over his body- every year, a new splattering of spots covers his lower body, eventually leading him to be all-white. It is thought, because of this, he is still relatively young.

‘Startaurs’ are what happens when a Florataur (Like Felris) or a Faunataur loses their companion spirit, either from them dying or being killed. As all of these creatures are made from the elements, they return as thus- the companions themselves dissolve into stardust, which the grieving taur then absorbs. The physical body can rarely ever handle both souls at once, which is why it quickly fades in color, eventually causing the passing of the taur themselves.

To Seraphir, his familiar Abelyon is everything. When a Guardian is born, an animal or person is chosen to bond with them, and the pair become inseparable. All is shared between them; thoughts, strengths, weaknesses, even love; they become each others confidants and often their companions or even lovers. However, there is records of Guardians and Familiars becoming separated; as such is the case with Seraphir and Abelyon. Chosen for a higher calling, Abelyon has ascended to the realm of the gods, leaving Seraphir to wither and eventually perish; that is, unless the familiar can find their way back to the mortal realm...
