Grimmen lived a life of extreme abuse under the care of a deeply tyrannical and sadistic human owner. The owner's cycles of relentless emotional and physical torment subjected Grimmen to a constant state of stress and anxiety, instilling within him an overwhelming sense of fear and uncertainty. Each day was spent living in trepidation, bracing himself for the inevitable outbursts of his owner's rage.

As time passed, Grimmen's owner began to delve into the forbidden arts of dark rituals and occult practices. Obsessed with unlocking dark powers, the owner secluded himself in his room.

Grimmen initially found solace in his owner's preoccupation, as it meant moments of respite from the abuse. However, his relief quickly transformed into terror when he woke up one day to find himself bound and surrounded by an ominous circle of candles. The realization struck him like a bolt of lightning—his owner intended to perform a ritual, and Grimmen was to be its unwilling centrepiece.

Ignoring the grem's pleads and cries, the owner would commence the ritual, using a sharp knife to carve into Grimmen's flesh.

The accumulated anguish and suffering within Grimmen reached its breaking point and in a surge of unforeseen strength and desperation, he managed to break free from his restraints. Overwhelmed by a manic frenzy, Grimmen retaliated against his tormentor, ultimately taking his owner's life.

However, the stress and anguish that had plagued Grimmen for so long had taken a toll on his fragile body. As the intensity of the moment peaked, a blood vessel in his brain ruptured, leading to his untimely demise.

In a cruel twist of fate, Grimmen drew his final breath atop the malevolent ritual symbol that would serve as the catalyst for his Cypherus transformation.
