Daphnis

Daphnis is a young man from a well off Virginian family and is a country boy at heart. He lives in California where he's attending college and majoring in botany.

Daphnis is kind and respectful of all life. He's the kind of person that gives too much and realizes too late that there's nothing left for himself. People have taken advantage of him in the past because of his altruistic disposition, but he just can't bring himself to see the bad in people and never learns his lesson.

Daphnis grew up on a large property, being able to play in the woods and pick bugs out of the vegetation around home. That's where he developed his passion for all things natural, especially plants. His parents are both breadwinners, and because he is an only child, he was often left alone to play and fend for himself.

His family mostly bonded over music. His mother plays the flute and his father plays the piano, and the three of them like to play together when possible. They also bond at the dinner table, eating homemade food containing home grown greens!

Daphnis's family deeply values education, which is part of why Daphnis was so eager to go to college. He is majoring in botany and doing a 4+1 master's program. He is studying more out of passion than prospects for a career since he plans on inheriting the farm and sustaining himself that way.

Yan-Carlos is Daphnis's boyfriend. They go to the same college and share an appreciation for the culinary arts.
