Backstory: Elias lived a long time ago in a quiet town, where he married a beautiful young woman. Thinking they had it made, they began a small farm together with a quiet family in their quiet town. Things couldn't have been better for the two, right?

Well, one day the quiet town wasn't so quiet anymore. A mysterious axe murder had occurred in the night, the body dumped on the young couple's farm land. Elias had found the unfortunate person and attempted to contact the local police force. A trial was immediately held, looking for any evidence, anyone who might know what had happened to the victim. When little to no evidence was found, the fingers pointed to Elias himself, since he had found the victim on his farm and 'suspiciously' brought it to everyone's attention.

Though he had committed no crime, he was unfairly convicted and executed for the murder, quickly being forgotten and scorned as a horrific murderer, even by his wife. Unsatisfied with the answer and desperate to prove his innocence, he quickly convinced the gods attempting to take him in to let him have one chance to prove himself to the town. After being allowed back to Cabibera, he possessed his old wedding photo, taking the form out of the picture to create his ghostly presence.

Although he was determined to prove he had committed no wrong, he saw how he was forgotten and or scorned in news articles and stories, and saw how his ex had quickly moved on without him. Disheartened and unfulfilled with his death, he refused to leave to any afterlife, instead remaining on the world of the living.

Elias feels very strongly about death, especially murder. He can be seen on the occasion around recently murdered bodies if he's in the area, almost as if to protect the soul before they're taken to their afterlives.

Elias wants nothing more than to get his happily ever after that was taken from him, though he is definitely not scornful or grudge-holding to his old town. He feels hate would only breed more issues, and has decided to move on, even if he has not forgiven their actions.
