Mika

Mika | Main character of Priest & Beast | she/her

Mika doesn't have much going for her right now. She doesn't have a degree, doesn't have a job and doesn't have a social life. She lives with her parents, walks her dog and occasionally does errands for her elderly next-door neighbor. 

Then one day she follows a fleeting sound, sees a dorky guy getting beat up by a wolf-man, partners with said dorky guy who lends her his magic, turns into a dragon, wallops the wolf-man and suddenly she's got something to put on her schedule. Dorky guy is Anthony, warrior-priest for an elusive goddess of magic and monsters, and he was sent to Mika's hometown to tackle a sudden surge of illegal magic-using beings in the area. The only thing is, he has no aptitude or tolerance for using magic. Mika, on the other hand? She's like a magic sponge.  

Together, they fight blasphemy!!!

Strongly driven by her instincts and gut feelings, Mika does whatever strikes her fancy in the moment, reacting to nearly everything around her with an almost comical intensity. She comes off as crass or flippant, but she's truly a warm person who cares about family and strangers alike - but being autistic, her expression of warmth don't always register with allistics and NTs. She loves Pokemon, fanfiction and aliens, can change moods at the drop of the hat, and always stands up for what she believes in. When she sets her mind to something, she's unstoppable. 

When channeling the Goddess's magic, Mika is able to transform into powerful, large creatures. Her first and favorite form is that of a dragon, but she can also turn into a giant hound and an eagle. She's much stronger and larger than any of the monsters and magic-users around town... for now, at least. Mika also develops a weak magical sight from all the raw magic coursing through her, but she seems to have always been able to detect magic, even if she didn't recognize it for what it was. 

Fun Facts:

- Mika will stay up to 2 am in the morning reading fanfiction and eating biscotti.
