PersonalityAmvira is a lazy slob who likes to eat, play video games, and not do any actual work. She likes to antagonize people, especially people she feels are getting too close to her, but she's long since stopped antagonizing her best friend and coworker Ed. Amvira is very confident in herself, but owns up to her mistakes. She refuses to let people thank her, without realizing it. She will always make up a "don't thank me, I [...]" excuse.
Music GenreElectronic Rock
Magic User StatusPseudo-awakened, like all "fiend" demons
Powers/SkillsFire manipulation, supernatural speed, demonic regeneration and strength, and later on can turn into a massive Balrog.  All demons can "regenerate" in Hell, are nearly immune to all forms of poison, and have superhuman empathy.

At the end of the game, she becomes the Embodiment of Creation, giving her vast powers and allowing her to generate limitless energy.

Biography

Amvira is the main character of OoH. Her ancestors in Hell began crossbreeding between different races of demon in order to create incredibly powerful offspring. This led to Amvira's parents, both incredibly powerful demons, creating a litter of children who would, in theory, have immense potential in every sense. Amvira, however, was the "runt" of her litter: the smallest, the dumbest, and seemingly least magically proficient of the bunch. Still, she lived in Hell and her parents groomed her to try to make her more powerful, and if she couldn't fulfill their plans, she could at least be married off to another powerful demon to keep the family going. Of course, Amvira, being aro/ace and also not very fond of being told what to do, hated this.

Not long after she finished Demon High School (very different from regular highschool: it's 10 years and designed to instill evil and selfishness in students), she had her chance. Summoned to Earth by a rookie demon summoner, she easily broke free from his grip and decided that she'd try and fit in amongst humans so she would not be sent back to Hell.

3 years have passed, and the story of OoH begins. Amvira has made a name for herself as a DJ and electronic music composer. It was then that she ran into Lydia and was tricked into helping her on her mission in Dresserton. Time passed and they stopped many villains and saved many people, but eventually Amvira's parents showed up on Earth. They attempt a ritual on her to increase her power, one that apparently failed with all of her siblings. It's interrupted by her newfound friends, but in the process she learns how to access her Balrog form.

At the end of the story, she's grown a lot as a person, but in order to save the world, she calls upon the power that was unlocked within her by the ritual, even though it was interrupted, and becomes the Embodiment of Creation, one of the strongest beings in the universe.

Relationships

Ed L

A former DJ, a coworker, and the first friend Amvira made since coming to Earth. Since he's so chill, Amvira just could not antagonize him whatsoever so she's chilled out around him and they hang out on good terms. Amvira really likes Ed and admitting that she'd be truly sad without him is a major first step in her character development.

Lydia

Amvira starts off really disliking Lydia and going well out of her way to antagonize her. Since Amvira so easily got tricked into doing Lydia's dirty work, and is now paying the price, she resents her a lot! She's been ENSLAVED by Lydia and Lydia has the nerve to judge and belittle her?? How awful!
But, over time, the two of them saving each other's lives cause them to genuinely start to like each other, and Amvira's bullying ends up being more jovial in nature.
Bonita
Amvira starts off insecure because of Bonita's presence. Bonita was born on Earth and is living proof that demons are not inherently evil. Rather than admit that, Amvira instead insinuates that something must be wrong with Bonita instead, and endlessly antagonizes her.
 Amvira's Parents
Amvira does not have a healthy relationship with her parents, to say the least. Her mom is a massive half-balrog, half-marilith, and her dad is a clever half-foocubus, quarter fire fiend, and quarter shadow fiend. They married specifically to produce strong offspring, and Amvira is a middle child and was considered the smallest and weakest of all her siblings.

Naturally, Amvira's parents don't really care for Amvira much, and only care for her siblings as a potential path to power. Thus, when Amvira goes to Earth, they don't really care about bringing her back. But, after the ritual to unlock massive power fails in all of Amvira's siblings, its only then that they decide to come to Earth and try to steal her back to Hell. In order to bring her back, they literally kill her by luring her into a holy-magic based trap. Yes, she'll respawn in Hell, but murder is not something a healthy family does.

Trivia

In-Game Fighting Style

  • Aro/Ace
  • Her dad is half foocubus, quarter fire fiend, quarter shadow fiend. Her mom is half balrog, half marilith.
  • Spends more money than she likes on clothes and food, cuz she has to have her clothes specially tailored, and she eats a lot.
  • Went to a very prestigious school in Hell. She got by on her physical prowess alone, but barely got passing grades.
  • Her tail ends in an Ace of Spades, and is made of the same material as her horns.
  • She can sharpen her fingers into talons at will.
  • Glamor fields don't disguise her height, so she still draws a lot of attention to herself. She appreciates this.
  • At the end of the story, when she becomes the Embodiment of Creation, she can power any of her abilities with a limitless source of energy, or fire an "infinite damage" laser beam.
  • Balrogs are always hungry! They digest food faster than they can eat it, which is to say INCREDIBLY FAST. Because of this, Amvira will often confuse hunger, fatigue, or boredom for each other.
  • Had a short stint making Roblox LPs. They all had very high quality production but sucked because she spent most of the episodes griefing and getting banned.
  • Amvira's hair is very thick and shaggy, like all Balrogs. Trying to comb it will likely end with a broken comb.
  • Knows sign language
  • Amvira's tears are about as acidic as vinegar. This is from her Fire Fiend heritage.
  • Amvira's name means "Conqueror." It's also a unisex name. All demon names are unisex, actually.
  • Her birthday is September 22nd.

As the main character, Amvira is slightly overpowered compared to other characters. Her stats are overall quite high, though with more of a focus on Evasion over Defense / Resist. Her main strength is her incredible mobility, moving faster than most characters, and with more than a few abilities that make her move across the battlefield. It's best to build both her Magic AND Attack stats to maximize her damage. For instance, her Flare Tempo ability shoots a fireball at a target as a free action, dealing minor magic damage, but it also multiplies her attack stat by a small amount AND adds a portion of her magic stat to it, for the rest of her turn.

Partway through the game, Amvira also gets her Balrog Form ability. It makes her huge, multiplies her stats substantially, and replaces her old abilities with new ones. However, she needs to have max (20) mana to use it, it always leaves her at 0 mana when it wears off, and she can only use it once per battle.

Amvira's promotions are Reaver and Shadow. Reaver ups her survivability, adding a chunk of HP and defense, as well as some attack power, letting her spend more time fighting strong targets without having to retreat and recover. Shadow is a focus on mobility and lethality, upping her accuracy, attack, and magic.
