childhood.

Born in the heart of Korea, Chae Sin Hun was the middle child of an entrepreneurial family. His family had no financial fault, being filthy rich instead. But money wasn’t the problem, neither parent had the time to spare affections to their children often. When they did, however, being the middle child, Sin believed that his parents cared for him less than they did his other siblings. His older sister was the heir to the family business, his older brother was a successful star and his youngest sister was doted on just by being born. Being neglected on the emotional level, Sin wanting to attain the emotional affection that he lacked familially through his friends. It worked for a while but eventually, he grew out of it.

At the end of his 2nd year of primary school, his family was expanding a branch of their corporation in Britain. His mother had previously studied abroad and established connections beforehand during the expansion. But as business continued to boom, finding the constant business trips in the midst of business deals a hassle, the Chae family just upped and moved there. In Britain, Sin managed to fit in pretty well: the language being not too much a barrier, as English was the basic foreign language required to be taught in every school. His classmates there were opening and helpful; and Sin couldn’t help but feel happy at the time, being able to feel included. During his time there, he met who he thought would be his best friend. With his still in tune childhood innocence, being so young at the time, he guided the other youth through a hardship and a tight-knit bond blossomed from there. Years passed by peacefully, and Sin spent those years with his friends: it was the first time he had felt so genuinely cheerful with anyone, and he decided to stick to the other. But as time progresses, so do events, once he graduated his family moved back to Korea.


middle school.

Detaching from his schooling in Britan and only friend, once Sin grew older though, he began to become more distant and detached. Sin had fallen back into his old habits of wanting to gain others’ affections to only realize that even with those around him providing him with affection, receiving them never made him feel better. He no longer began to search for the affections of others. He grew up more independent than his peers and busied himself with prioritizing academics. Having top academics were a standard, and his schedule was ridden with going to tutor schools to sustain those standards. During his free time, Sin wondered endlessly about why he had felt so void of emotions and detached from society. Especially considering how he was always so cheerful and happy with a face he could no longer remember the face of. He felt empty and truly craved to be able to fix his emotional stunt. In an attempt to stuff that emptiness, he picked up multiple hobbies, hoping he would regain what he thought he lost. Although it wasn’t entirely successful, Sin felt as if these side distractions of sorts were fun to try out. Soon, being able to try out new things, gaining experiences while submerging himself in a different concept became his own stress-relief.


highschool.

Eventually, he was led to the piano. Being aim to press his fingers against the keys, while hearing the notes stream out ended bringing Chae Sin Hun something he began to be truly passionate about. He began to cultivate his skill in the musical field, listening to his favorite songs. Discovering the joy of music had really made Sin feel as if he was reborn, investing most of his time playing the piano. He felt his previous void be filled. The emotions that were so urgently sung out each artist’s emotions reached him.

Yet, once Sin had finally had his hands he could truly call his own, he felt it would be a waste to stop there. He had wanted to widen his horizon, the world was so big after all. Sin decided to broaden his knowledge, increasing what he knew, not just when it came to cold hard text, but in creative fields such as textiles and even crafts. Although, when it came time to decide, deciding to compose music would be his true passion. Applying to Serendipity came next.
