Kojima Hien

Hien is the latest head of the prestigious Kojima Family, an aristocratic clan of priestesses that has existed for centuries. Even from a young age, she has displayed a regal and dignified, but independent and passionate personality. Having been sheltered for most of her life, Hien is fiercely free thinking and free spirited; she hates being told what to do, and thrives best when she is able to think and act for herself, on her own accord, though this means she has a rather naive mindset towards certain things.

She is polite, friendly, and outgoing, wholly enjoying making friends and establishing genuine connections. Hien isn't afraid of saying what's on her mind and will always speak up for or against something, having been unable to for almost fifteen years. Still, she tries to carry herself in a refined, princess-like manner, remaining calm and level headed even in dire situations. She is always supportive of and loyal to her friends, though there are times she adopts a sarcastic, cheeky side to her.

Hien is the daughter of Kaeko Kojima, a Pro Hero under the alias of Morningstar. Even when she was a toddler, Kaeko proved herself to be unsuited as a mother; she was neglectful, often ignoring Hien, dumping the girl onto other members of the clan, forgetting to feed her, and leaving her for days alone, among other things. This created a sense of spite within Hien from a young age, that only worsened when Kaeko left the Kojima estate for good to expand her hero career in Tokyo when she was nine. Hien was left alone with the other members of her clan, and began miko training; this led Hien's life to be oppressive and exceptionally lonely. She was expected to adhere to each and every rule, and would be punished severely if she didn't.

Out of fear of Hien growing up to be like her mother, the other clan members homeschooled her and strictly forbade her from leaving the compound. Her knowledge of the world was known only by radio shows and newspapers she was allowed to read, which was rather limited. During this time, Hien was homeschooled and trained by private tutors to use her Quirk. She would occasionally get glimpses of her mother on television or hear her on the radio, but otherwise hasn't seen her since she left; the hatred developing for her mother's treatment and suffocating lifestyle is what eventually drove Hien's decision to attend Koujou. It wasn't her initial plan to become a hero - she just wanted to get away - and even with her clan warning her being disowned if she attented Koujou, Hien decided to choose her freedom over her family.

• Hien never knew her father. Whenever she asked about him, her family members would change the topic, or simply say he was a "disgusting man". In her second year, Hien found out that her father is an A-rank villain who goes by the name of Vulcan, with the ability to increase the kinetic energy of molecules to cause combustion.
• Hien's Quirk, Fox Fire, is a hybrid Quirk. It combines the Kitsune Quirk that runs through her family, giving each member features of a fox. This includes sensitive ears and thick tails; members may grow up to nine. It also grants them enhanced senses, sharp claws, and the ability to see almost perfectly in the dark. The other part of her Quirk allows Hien to manipulate flames for offensive or supportive purposes. Though her flames are usually red-orange, they can become bright blue, though she rarely makes them this hot. Her flames can also heal injuries, albeit at the expense of her stamina. Due to this, Hien is constantly warm and is unaffected by low temperatures. People flock to her in winter because of this!
• Hien's small eyebrows are due to her noble heritage; coming from a long line of priestesses, aristocrats, princesses, and the like, the practice of hikimayu still runs in her clan, especially due to their traditional ways. However, it is only done to members of the main branch of the Kojima clan.
• She is currently a third year at Koujou High School. She is known as the Foxfire Hero, Amaterasu.
