Benthe

Benthe is a sailor who lost one of her legs in an accident. What accident is hard to say. She claims it was a vicious shark attack during which she selflessly saved her best friend's life. Said best friend, on the other hand, claims Benthe stepped on a fishing hook when sleepdrunk, didn't take care of the wound, and the infection got out of hand. It's hard to tell which one is the true story, they do both seem equally likely.

Then again, it's not unusual for Benthe to tell wild stories. She lives for the audience's gasps and them listening breathlessly during the tension-filled parts. Benthe loves the sea, and can be found on a boat whenever she has the chance to get on one. She needs validation from others to feel important, and tends to start feeling insecure and unimportant when alone. As an extrovert, she feels at home in a crew of others, busy all the time, and not afraid of hard work. Teambuilding is very important for her. Despite that, she never stays with the same crew for a long time, as she goes on whatever travels she can get on.
