Notes:
He lives alone on an island with only a few others. He spends most of his time in the caves where he collects crystals, or on the beach. He really likes to fish when he's bored, it's a fun way to pass time, sometimes he'll cook them, but usually he'll release them. when he's cooking fish he'll tie it to his tail and roast it over the fire, if it gets too hot he may use a stick.

 He gets lonely easily- but often encounters others. He's really socially awkward when it comes to talking so he usually doesn't talk at all, and if he does talk it would end up sounding really awkward. Desmond rarely sleeps, if he does its only because he had a long day or something like that.
Where he lives it's usually pretty dark, so he sets up star shaped lights, or other fairylights, all around the tent he sleeps in . Desmond likes to spend most of his time alone, but if he's visiting his family he'd stay for weeks. He loves little critters/animals and will feed them if he has extra food, he likes to leave out scraps of his food at night so the animals can eat.
Desmond was never really fond of any school related subject, but as stated above he likes space/astronomy. He doesn't know a lot about it, but he likes the idea of it. If you ask him a simple question about it though he could most likely answer it in a matter of time. It's funny though because he doesn't actually want to go to space, because he's scared of some of the stuff up there, but he likes to look at the stars from Earth.
Although he seems annoyed a lot of the time, he's actually pretty happy, it just doesn't show very well. He's awkward around most people, even friends, but he doesn't even care anymore. The only people he talks to are his family, or close friends, now it's probably just too hard for him to make any new friends tbh.
Desmond has 3 brothers, 1 sister, his mom and dad, grandmas and grandpas, and 50+ cousins. He doesn't talk to all of them unless at reunions or things like that but he loves them. He would visit them more often than he actually does but he gets REALLY awkward around most of his cousins so he can't talk to them all the time. !

Appearance

Desmond is a very big opossum, around the size of a whippet. He has some dog like features, like his bigger ears, nose longer neck, slimmer body, and longer legs, though he can be drawn with more opossum like features. He has dark tan fur with a few lighter spots, dark freckles on his face, a long tail that can be drawn spotted, and big dark ears.
