Since she has to present herself as an authoritative leader, Eseld often gives off a cold, unfriendly atmosphere. She does not like to show any signs of weakness so that her subordinates will continue to respect her. However, on the inside, her true personality could not be any further from that. She can actually be quite gentle and motherly to those she likes. Because of her position, it is hard for her to show kindness to complete strangers. Her awkwardness makes it difficult for her to make close acquaintances.

Eseld treasures the few acquaintances she has, mainly her lovers Matsuri and Nazaire. At first she was not sure how to react when the two of them treated her like a queen, but eventually she got used to it, sometimes playing along with the queen act. They are probably the only ones who know what she is really like. Though it may not be too noticeable, she can be a bit overprotective of them. She hates being away from them and would not know what to do if she ever lost them.

Due to her calm, reliable outward appearance and also her status as a rare Venia, Eseld easily worked her way up to becoming a leader in the Moon Venias’ military. She wants things done correctly, so she can be harsh to those who laze around or goof off. Part of her worries that she goes too far with scoldings and punishments; she does not mean to scare others away.
