Eloise is an exchange student visiting from France, lodging with a local family while trying to learn more about the local culture and practice her English skills. Perhaps a little unfortunate that she ended up in a village with quite a high rate of Welsh speakers, but she takes it in stride and in fact is also now rather interested in learning a bit of that as well. She's a very bright, positive person who is rather hard to shake. She's very smart as well, allowing her to learn new information quickly. She's not necessarily close friends with much of the group, as Daf won't even seem to talk to her,, but she is friends with Wyn, and the two like to have long, terribly broken conversations in a mixture of French and Welsh as the two try to learn each other's language.
Her mild mannered disposition and soft voice, as well as her well dressed image, make her seem more uptight than she really is. She's not pompous, she's just polite and a bit sheltered. She does also gradually become friends with the rest of the group as time goes on, showing to Cadi and Gwen that she's just as capable of being rough and tough, as well as giving Daf time to get used to the scary new person in the group.
In her own time she's fond of watching films, mostly of the more artsy variety, and writing in her journal, both in the form of journal entries and short stories. What she'd most like to do in future is become an author.
