Fame and Famine
From snow-bred rascal to international heartthrob, Dominic's rise to stardom was an indeliberate one, but now he's found himself caught in the clutches of a cruel and unforgiving industry that won't see him out alive. From a distance Dominic is a well-intentioned and handsome actor often doing business under the moniker "Presley Sharpp", a name that he is known for on everything but paper. In reality, he's a nervous wreck of raging anxiety whose identity was stolen from him too young, and now he's become such a hodgepodge of different roles that he's not sure where Presley ends and he begins.
Dominic found his fame through the eyes of Presley Sharpp, the youngest son of a wealthy and eccentric (but still somehow relatable, as far as TV families go, anyhow) couple whose daily shenanigans enraptured a generation for almost a decade. After becoming a household name, the show opened up a world of fantastic possibilities for young Dominic, the consequences of which he did not discover until he was already well into the belly of the beast. With parents too busy delighting in the spoils of his work to notice their son crumbling under the pressure, a manager that still insists on calling him Presley, and a ravenous fanbase still known for counting down the days until he turned 18, Dominic has found himself desperate to claw his way to normalcy... and after a recent shoot at a nowhere beach town nobody even bothered to learn the name of, Dominic thinks he has just the plan on how to do that.
Now, armed with three of the best friends anybody could ever ask for, Dominic looks to reclaim the childhood that was taken from him and intends to spend the rest of his life his own way - unbeknownst to his friends, who believe their little adventure comes with an easy exit.

Character
What was once a young boy full of romanticized hope for the world and its many secrets has long since become an anxious and secretly devastated young man who believes in a world where the majority of people don't care in an equally-as uncaring universe. The only exception, it seems, is his band of three misfits that have somehow managed to keep him together enough to not tip off the blood-thirsty paparazzi that swarm him at all times.
Dominic's skipped the stage of invincible, impenetrable teenage rage and gone straight into mid-life apathy - a fact his friends try very hard to correct with no luck. To the outside world Dominic is a star, a star who lives an idyllic life of California coasts and overpriced mocktails with some of the world's greatest plastic faces. He is a person to be envied and praised, a celebrity who grew into his fame seamlessly and now always has a smile on his face despite the circumstances. To his fans he is generous and patient, always catering to their needs both in-person and through his various social media outlets, and on screen his smile can heat up a moment from just the sheer brilliance of it. Dominic is happy - calculatedly happy, with smiles practiced in the bathroom mirror and carefully-planned displays of false joy, while the real him is anything but.
With a smile just too big to be casual Dominic is a master of class and acting, so consumed with putting on a show for everybody around him that he never lets the curtain close.
