Michi Seimei

“Ah ha ha ha, stupid man! If you want it back then tell me this…” 

To find Michi one just needs to follow the scent of sakura and the sound of laughter. The one tailed kitsune loves a good joke, often at the expense of the lesser beings that live in the cities he travels through. He looks for fun in all that he does…. And nothing is as fun as the look on a hapless farmer's face when they fall for one of his illusory tricks. He carries out his mischief with a flowing poise and grace befitting of his position, and he’s never ashamed to use his cute appearance to get a handout.

For those looking to get in his good graces, he can be persuaded to use his power to help rather than harm. He is always ready and willing to get a good story to share with his mentor and he has a fondness for sweets. One of his favorite times of the year is the summer festival where he can drink in all of the wonderful colors and celebrations without having to hide his true nature.

Backstory

 Long ago, long ago. A swift-footed fox was gifted a pearl by the gods. He was told that the pearl would grant him the ability to walk on two legs among humans and make him powerful. In exchange… he would serve the gods diligently and deliver their messages. And that he must keep his gift safe with him. But the fox was young and trusting, and it was stolen from him by a cunning human. 

He served the human and his family for a long time, bound by the pearl’s power. Until one day, another fox came by. This new fox was sly. He tempted the humans with riches and in one night, the sinful humans lost all they had to their temptation and greed. The old fox offered his hand to the young fox and said, “I will show you what I know. Follow me, and you will serve no one but yourself.” And so, they went side by side, traveling the lands to this very day.
