Misha was a carefree street punk who was constantly getting himself into trouble, but always somehow managed to get away with it scot-free. He was known to be easily baited into fights and to never back down.

This attitude caught the eye of members of a secret mafia-like coven of vampires, who thought his fearless nature would do well in their ranks. They sent a member, Aleksei, to turn him, which resulted in a fist fight between him and Misha. During the fight, Aleksei bit Misha's neck, which Misha (very wrongly) assumed was him making a move and well... he didn't try to stop it. Which bummer for him, because it got him killed. (he got better)

It didn't take long for the coven to realize that Misha's 'fearless' nature was actually just pure idiocy, and that he was a detriment to their organization. He was loud, brash, and irresponsible, so he wasn't of much use. He was also annoying as hell to be around, and they all decided to get rid of him pretty early on. Unable to kill him due to an oath they were all forced to make, Aleksei instead convinced Misha to crawl into a crate. After nailing it shut, they shipped him off to god knows where on the nearest plane, never to be heard from again. Probably. Hopefully.

Some time after landing and getting free, Misha met up with his current coven when they all decided to form their own. It's the absolute worst and they're all terrible at being vampires. He likes that they don't expect much from him and shares the spoils of his victories with them.

He calls all the members by very cutesy, overly familiar nicknames and it's not clear if he's being affectionate or rude when he does it.
