Design Notes;

  • Her hair is dyed! It was originally brown. She changes her looks accordingly while changing identities— as only 'Hanae', however, she doesn't quite have a look for herself.
  • Her design is very simple on purpose: as an agent standing out is only detrimental, and her attire is Hanae's choice of a practical and easy to move in outfit more than anything else.
  • Besides the gun in her waist, there's several knives hidden on her clothes.
  • Usually looks like she's in the clouds.
  • Her shoulders and back are covered in burn scars.
  • She has an athletic and strong build. Very sturdy. I wouldn't call her ripped by any means, but she's fairly muscular.
  • Ahoge mandatory.
Trivia;

  • Used to have a fake identity under the name Tohru Shihori, who was the Ultimate Analyst. She has lived a relatively normal life as Tohru, with all of her agent work being ultimately low profile in that period.
  • While she's had a couple more identities besides just Tohru Shihori, those were mostly made for the sake of safety and not for agent work, so they aren't actually counted.
  • Her public talent, Ultimate Analyst, is not a fake talent by any means— despite being an agent, Hanae truly excels in repetitive analysis and mathematics. Her head works like a data base when it's about percentages.
  • Has killed people before. She wouldn't be able to tell you how many, though.
  • Due to conditioning and brainwashing done to her by her boss to make her an effective agent, Hanae forgets entire weeks quite easily— Unless she's fulfilling extremely specific conditions to function or following straightforward objectives, Hanae is prone to being unfocused and severely forgetful. She's working on it with a therapist.
  • There are no records of Hanae anywhere. She used to not have a name for herself as well, until Kana gave her one.
  • If someone she's fighting with has the intention of hurting her, Hanae uses her own personal code to approach the situation, which is basically Kill or Knock Out: it means her objective in any serious fight is to knock out the other person, and kill them if that's not a possibility.
  • Her favorite flowers are forget-me-nots.
Relationships;

  • FAMILY;;
    • Amelia Shinozaki (Mother) - Deceased. While kind and warm in any of the remaining memories Hanae has of her, Amelia was an extreme cult fanatic. Hanae only really got to learn the truth after she'd died by reading her diary, specifically left behind for Hanae. Amelia herself was the one to instigate her and Akai's death. Hanae chooses to not think too much about it, despite the conflicting feelings she has on the matter.
    • Akai Shinozaki (Father) - Deceased. When he was alive he was a secret agent himself, so he couldn't be around a lot— he tried to make up for it whenever he could be there, though. Was unaware of his wife's obsession. Hanae remembers him fondly, and find comfort in the fact she's at least following in his footsteps.
    • Kosaka (Boss/Guardian) - He was friends with her father, and took her in when he died. While Hanae was conditioned to see him as a kind father figure, that couldn't be more far from the truth: He was the one to make her into a child soldier, after all, and used her trauma over her family's death against her to guarantee there wouldn't be any information leaks from her.
  • FRIENDS;;
    • Imako Hirakawa (Friend) - Imako and Hanae's relationship started off as a cat and rat-like chase: Hanae can't have anyone know anything about her, while Imako's job as a consigliere forces him to learn everything about everyone. There was always a lack of animosity between them, however— once they found a place where they could talk without their jobs getting in the way, they became friends very quickly. Hanae trusts him a lot, and makes sure he knows he'll always have her support. They protect each other's backs.
    • Keiji Furukawa (Friend) - Hanae could only describe Keiji with one word: Trickster. Always doing whatever he wants, caring in small always, looking out and worrying for her with his unique way of doing things, it's almost like he makes sure to amaze her little everyday— and that's what's truly charming about him, in her opinion. She hopes he'll let her take care of him as well.
    • Taiki Hanabusa (Friend) - It's here that Hanae starts to realize most of her friends are cat-people, as Taiki fits the description just as well: shows affection in small ways, needs space, maybe a bit closed off. Hanae knows how caring and protective Taiki is of his friends by heart, though, and it always brings a smile to her face. She hopes he isn't stressing himself too much— the two of them are very supportive of each other, and Taiki has helped her out a lot. She wonders if he wants to check out this new tea from Holland sometime...
    • Haruki Maeda (Friend) - Probably one of her only non-cat friends, admittedly. Haruki is kind and full of love— Hanae was never one to be fazed by weird appearances or quirks, so that's all she can really think about when it's him. She is ready to listen (or would it be better to say read?) to any of his ramblings anytime. She wants to learn interpretative dance to be able to communicate with him better sometime.
