How they met

Trace and Fletcher met through the Ultimate Academy program in their early first year, both of which were fifteen at the time. Trace's dismal personality was a far cry from Fletcher's sunny disposition, a fact that didn't go without being noted by those around them. Though only fifteen they had both garnered their own notoriety and public presence, and that wasn't completely glossed over by their peers, nor by eachother. It could be said that they first met in the early days of their first years of entry into the program, though they didn't make any major interactions until their second years of entry. The Ultimate Commentary YouTuber was a strange thing to behold, from his young age correlating to his talent, lack of public background knowlege and sullen attitude. It was tough for the Ultimate Neon Light Dancer to keep his curiosities to himself, especially considering how open most of his peers seemed to be on their professions. He kept said curiosity under wraps for a long while, only glancing at the online presence with oddity whenever they were near eachother.

The Ultimate Commentary YouTuber was well-known for his criticisms of the structural integrity of the Ultimate Program. Spiteful of it's brittle form and unafraid to discuss this, it wasn't uncommon for him to seek an audience with whichever staff members would bother to humor him. There had been a day where as Fletcher had been tasked with an errand across the campus, he'd come across the online presence fumbling to himself outside the Headmaster's Office. It was a strange sight, someone as stoic and uncomfortablly blank as Galloway to be slumped against the doors, arms tucked around himself tightly as he frowned into the crook of them.

These days, Fletcher is... Unaware of the rest, as it mattered little. There had been a moment of reconcillation, he recalls. A steady hand held out to the other to correct his hunched form before anyone could take notice. A more uneven, trembling hand taking hold. There weren't any words exchanged, though they didn't feel they needed any. Things had slotted together peacefully after. Though it was obvious Trace didn't take to the other immediately, it was... Hard for just about anyone to be ignorant of the beaming form of Fletcher Holm for long. Harder still to part from the other when his time in America had ended.

They've never truly left eachother, though. That much is true.

Their Relationship

Both of them are hopeless saps with eachother. If you didn't know the both of them this behavior could be written off as natural, but with the context of who they are as people? Not at all. Undettered by Trace's stoicially awkward attitude, Fletcher easily continues his playful interactions with the others. Trace would rather be dragged to hell itself before he admits it's easily the more endearing thing he's aware of.

..Well, other than his cat. Maybe that's why she's taken such a temper with the dancer.

Trace struggles to form the proper words with the other, but Fletcher pays no mind to it. He's more than happy to fill in the gaps until the other finds his footing. He has more than enough time to wait, and he's not lacking in patience. The online presence in turn has put more thought into his actions where his words fail.

Say you seem the type who knows just
What to do
And I'll say back to you that
It takes one to know one and I’d liked to get to know one so,
if you'd like to drink shitty coffee down a couple streets
at the northbound side of me, I'd love to stay there and
Think of what to say there, yeah
If you'd like to go somewhere I know we could both smell like
Burnt espresso.

Cause we are the helpless, selfish, one of a kind
Millennium kids, that all wanna die
Walking in the street with no light inside our eyes
We are the worthless, cursed with too much time
We get into trouble and lose our minds
It's something that I've heard a million times in my life
Generation Why.
Trivia

  • They both wear some rather tattered "friendship bracelets" made of twine beneath their sleeves in their respective colors. The fibers are frayed and they're rather poorly made, but they continue to wear the things.
  • Trace's cat is less than pleased with Fletcher's presence. The dancer doesn't even know what he's doing wrong!
  • Fletcher's not huge on videogames, but he likes being able to watch Trace mess around with his handhelds. It's even better when Trace gets to talking about them..
  • They're both hopelessly pining saps with eachother. It's really not apparent unless they're together, in which they're... Vastly different people, more apparent with Trace.
