Arlo is a being driven and honed by his powerful instincts. He encourages gut feelings, inherited knowledge, whims, and intuition. Arlo is quiet and reticent, always observing and watching the world around him. He spends most of his time alone, wandering in nature, walking where his instincts tell him to go. A master of living off the land, Arlo often goes missing for weeks only to reappear no worse for the wear, having slept in trees or shared caves with mountain lions. Self-sufficient and independent, Arlo hates to rely on other people for anything, even for a small favor - and the person he hates to rely on most is his mother, Cynthia, who gave him his demonic heritage. Arlo makes sure to shave down his horns because he hates the prejudice that follows his appearance.

In Arlo's presence, people follow their gut feelings and take a chance on a whim. They are empowered to make decisions with their hearts, rather than their heads. He helps people to act on their feelings rather than second-guess them. Arlo watches over people when they take journeys in the wilderness. He's not a god who takes a lot of action; rather, he prefers to watch what happens and intervene only if absolutely necessary.

Like his mother, Cynthia, Arlo wields the Earth or SubEarth element. He can construct shelters out of rocks and protect nature from violent mudslides or rock slides. He has very attuned senses, senses that humans do not have - like the ability to find true north instinctively, or to sense circadian rhythms. He's also quite strong and fast, and can fight hand to hand in combat.
