Teddy, as a younger man, always seemed to be in a rough spot with his finances. In a stupid move that he still regrets, he found himself lured to a casino by the promise that he could solve his money problems. Instead, he found himself in a deeper hole than before with a gambling debt that he could never dream of paying off. The owner of the casino came to him with an offer; work off his debts as an escort. With no other choice left to him, Teddy took up his offer.

It was work that Teddy didn't enjoy, not in the slightest, but at least his boss was alright. At least until he became closer to another escort, his boss's older brother. The job became unbearable, both on the job itself and his boss. There was no end in sight, his debt always seemingly never being dented, never close to being paid off...when a certain club owner came in and paid his debts off in exchange for Teddy working as a host for him instead.

Teddy still doesn't enjoy the work, but it's at least bearable, and he's in a steady financial place for once in his life. And that's enough for him. Really.

Teddy is a very laid back man, who carries himself with a certain ease that makes it easy to feel like he's a friend, even if it's the first time he's met you. There doesn't seem to be a lot that gets under his skin, and he seems to wave any annoyances off with a laugh and a wave. In reality, he bottles up most of his real feelings, keeping the relaxed persona up to keep people from worrying about him; he does not like people worrying about him, and sees it as pity. 

While he's openly and freely flirty, he doesn't actually ever flirt with anyone he's seriously interested in. He feels as if his chance at romance has passed long ago, and doesn't actively try to pursue anything. But even still, he's a hopeless romantic at heart, and loves to play matchmaker with other people. If the small amount of people in his life that he cares about are happy, he's happy.
