Shank

Shank is a pack alpha of a group of five other African Wild Dogs. He does like the idea of 'being in charge', but he's also very aloof and apathetic when it comes to actual leadership of the gang. They are pretty much free to do whatever they like, at any time. They have a decent pack structure together when it comes to hunting and other activities they may do together, though Shank enjoys spending his time alone.

He has many scars: two large slashes on his neck, two on the left side of his face, two small slashes on his left hip, and shredded ears, one nearly missing. All are from a battle with a lion, a fight that he won. His victory feeds his self-confidence and ego, he will challenge any offender that crosses him or his pack with a firm belief that he will always come out on top. Many are too afraid to challenge him in the first place, intimidated by his gruff appearance and commanding presence.

While Shank is large for an AWD and seems gruff and mean, he is actually quite a goofball. He has a big sense of humor and enjoys it when others can laugh and joke around with him, though strangers are sometimes shy of this. Even though he spends a lot of time in solitude, he does like to check in with his pack and spend time with them. There is a commonly hidden side of him that can be quite caring and empathetic. The thing he detests most however, is lack of self-confidence. He believes this to be a sign of weakness, and WILL do what he thinks is "best" to help any pack-members struggling with this problem, to overcome it.
