It's Saturday night, and a meteor shower can be seen from Bloop Town and other nearby locations, like Wirewave City. Nothing out of this world happens, until the next morning, where a loud crash wakes Clara from her sleep. The source of the sound was what seemed to be a meteorite, which upon closer inspection opened up revealing its little tripulant: an alien! The creature has been named Starry Bit by this girl.
Starry Bit had escaped from his home planet after an invasion by a malicious being. After casually finding out about its next objective, he rushed as fast as he could to grab his stuff and managed to flee in an individual spaceship (A.K.A. the meteorite), hoping he could arrive first to this so-called "Earth" and save it from the evil force. While of course his thoughts were a bit exaggerated, his encounter with Clara gives him the new idea of powering her up so she could defeat the evil instead.
One of Starry Bit's most prized possessions is a yellow-tinted crystal shard, which is his source of Total Lunar Eclipse magic. By himself, he isn't too much of a powerhouse, so after entrusting Clara with this new magic he simply stays in her bag and gives moral support.
