BACKSTORY

During her childhood, a traumatizing event happened that left her the cold closed person she is today. Ella was born from a witch and had three witch sisters. Her oldest sister was the purest being she had ever met. Her powers laid in the sun. Ella adored her sister and followed her around everywhere. One day, after a lot of nagging from Ella, her sister was finally going to learn Ella some sun magic. But she miscalculated her spell and set fire to her sister. She watched her burn alive in front of her eyes, powerless to stop what was happening. Every family member blamed her for what had happened. Feeling shunned and hated, she closed herself, making a hard shell in the process. Ellas favorite flower, the sunflower, was also her sisters favorite flower. Ella raised a memorial near her house and grew hundreds of sunflowers around it in her memory. She visits it often.

CURRENT STORY

Ella had a calm and silent life in her cottage in the woods. Sometimes she would visit the vampire city, but mostly the forest was the place for her to be. One day on a visit to the town, she was playing a round of poker with some back-licking vampires. (Vampires find it beneficial to be close to witches.) One of the vampires is loosing hard, and ends up not having any more to play for. At least that's what Ella thinks at first. But he makes her a last offer to try and win his losses back. He offers her a beaten up werewolf that they found sneaking around. She accepts the offer, and wins another round, which means she now has a werewolf in her possession. She brings him home, tend his wounds and chain him to the wall, so he won't do something as stupid as to try and escape. Their story start there.

After a while with back an forth, Ella gives up, and tries to be a little softer and less angry with him. This method works, and she reaches through to her new werewolf arrival. She finds out that his name is Fenris. She even lets him come for a walk with her to test the teory further. But they meet a posessed bear which takes Ella by a bit of a surprise. She is unable to get the upper hand in the fight, and almost loses. Though Fenris jumps in and helps her kill it, but she collapses when it's done. Fenris sees his chance to run away, but his heart is too big, so he helps her instead. She dies and turns into dust, but is reborn because of her remaining energy. When she wakes up, she thanks him and asks if there is anything she can do for him. He tells her about his family and how he needs to get back to them because he is their only source of income and needs to protect them. She listens to his tale and gives him a bottomless satchel full of good meat and apple juice. Then she helps him teleport to the walls of the city so he can easily find his way home himself. And they say goodbye.

A few days later, Ella hears howls outside her house. She goes out to see what is causing the rackus and sees three wolves fighting in her front yard. She even recognizes one. It's Fenris, and he is not playing around with the two other wolves against him. She uses her magic to scare the two other wolves away, and helps Fenris with his wounds. He tells her that he came home the other day, but his family was gone, and he needs help locating them. She agrees to help him and they get his family to safety. After that he feels like he owes her to stick around. They do go on epic adventures together though. And something romantic grows.
