HALO: Shadow and Flame

Amaranth is a no-bullshit type of person who tends to react to most situations with biting sarcasm. She's as stubborn as a mule, and rather blunt. She wastes no time getting to the point. Her stubbornness is also a boon. She's utterly incorruptible; it's almost impossible to manipulate her into doing anything she doesn't agree with. Amaranth is also diehard loyal, and viciously protective of her loved ones. In a chaotic world, Amaranth is a rock of reason. She is incredibly trustworthy; you can depend on her for anything. If someone she cared for came to her for aid, she'd drop everything to help them out. If she makes a promise, you could stake your life on her following through with it. Like, the queen of self control. She very rarely does anything out of  impulse. Whatever internal logic she runs on is, however, a complete mystery to everyone else. She's kind of a wild card; it can be difficult to predict what she'll do next in any given situation. She's rather sociable, and typically enjoys hanging around other people. Even if she doesn't always contribute to the conversation, she likes the energy that being around others gives her. She's very competitive, and loves a good challenge. She'll take the weirdest, most off the wall jobs just to prove she can pull them off. Amaranth is just kind of an intense person all around. She feels a lot of emotions very strongly, and that tends to put people off. She's a very 'talk shit get hit' type of person. Her tone of voice makes it sound like she's always out for blood, but that's (usually) far from the case. Loves wholly and shamelessly. She tends to bounce between hyperfixations at a frankly alarming rate. She's dipped her toes into pretty much every sort of crafting hobby at some point. If it involves working with her hands, then she's had an interest in it.

BIO

Amaranth is the oldest in a set of triplets. She inherited the majority of her mother's, Glides Through Snow, shadow sorcery heritage. Where her younger brothers only inherited sparse traits, Amaranth got the whole enchilada. She trained under Glides in order to better harness her inherent power, including accompanying her mother to the Shadowfell whenever she goes. Amaranth, like the rest of her family, is in the business of creation, but unlike them, she turned to a field beyond food and drink. Amaranth works as an enchanter and arcane blacksmith in the city of Proudspire. She realized that, while she loves baking, she doubted that she would  have been truly happy if she'd take it up as a profession. So she became the apprentice to a local smith as a young adult, where she stayed until her mentor deemed her worthy of running a forge of her own. With her studies complete for now, Amaranth founded her own smithy, The Cobalt Forge. While most of her business lies in weapons and armor, she also creates objects with very niche magical uses, like self heating knives and temperature regulating platemail. She is capable of more potent enchantments, but it's what she has the most fun with.
