Summary

Born to a family who never wanted to have a kid, Alcor's start to life was not an easy one. Her parents wanted to minimize her presence in their lives as much as possible, so from the start she was raised to never make a single noise unless directly spoken to and to never leave her room unless given permission. The only time her parents gave her the time of day was to make her scapegoat to her their issues, and, as such, she often received intense verbal and physical punishments for things she never did. It was a cruel existence, though she was always reminded that it was her fate thanks to her name meaning "neglected one". She was born to be treated this way, and she was to never forget it.

Over the years, her parents' treatment towards her became more and more violent, eventually peaking with her mother attacking her with a knife. She was so badly injured that her father thought she would certainly be dead, so he dumped her at a local hospital to avoid having to deal with a corpse. There, Alcor managed to pull through her injuries thanks to sirens' naturally better regenerative abilities, and once awake again, she was treated with more kindness than she ever thought possible. Her two main nurses, who were assigned to her thanks to their research of sirens, were quick to grow close to her, and after several months in the hospital, they eventually adopted her and brought her home.

From there, her life slowly began to improve. She made it her goal to become a nurse as well, hoping to be able to help others like she had been helped. With lots of late nights and studying, she was able to fulfill her dream of becoming an ER nurse, yet even still she wanted to help more. She frequently volunteered at local events, finding joy in being able to keep others safe. She even managed to meet her husband while helping out at a convention, only bringing more joy into her life and allowing her to find her happy ending.
