Mabel an NPC and potential antagonist in Red Signal. When Glimmer wakes up with no memory, most of the robots that populate the mansion they all live in are hesitant to help her recover them. Dimitri is the only one to help her at first, promising to get her memories back. From this moment on, Mabel despises Dimitri.

When no one else is around, Mabel will approach Glimmer and offer to help. She provides her with information that the others refuse to share, either because they didn't think it was important or they actively didn't want Glimmer to know. Mabel tells Glimmer negative things she has done in the past, secrets about the other robots, and the history of the mansion and the people inside. Mabel almost never talks about themself, but Glimmer is so thankful for the information she doesn't think to question this.

Mabel holds a grudge against Glimmer, and is using her trust to take advantage of her. Her main goal is unknown, and never really explained in full, but the end result is the same. In endings where Glimmer loses herself in her search and never recovers her memories, Mabel actively encourages her down that path. They lead her on with snippets of ultimately useless information until Glimmer is so desperate for anything that she's willing to do whatever it takes to get it. She drives the other robots away, making her rely more heavily on Mabel.

In the ending where Glimmer does recover her memories, she instantly turns on Mabel. She is able to remember enough of her past and her personality to know that Mabel was feeding her lies and hiding the most vital information, and makes sure they pay for their betrayal. Mabel is not one to simply take this lying down, and also retaliates against Glimmer, attempting to take her memories a second time.

When Mabel is stressed, she begins to fall apart from the inside out. Wires come loose, and she begins to fray and lose control of her limbs. She becomes almost unhinged in this state, and will actively antagonize anyone that comes near. If pushed too far, they become a creature almost entirely composed of loose wire and spare parts, sections of metal becoming claws and losing much of her faceplates.

Mabel remains cool calm and collected as long as she believes she is holding all of the cards. She will actively encourage infighting, and somehow manages to avoid suspicion. She avoids Dimitri at all costs, as Dimitri is the most likely to see through their facade.

Mabel takes her role as a mime very seriously, and refuses to speak unless pushed to the limit. Her voice sounds as if it's coming through extremely old and faded speakers. Any other time, she uses sign language, with a built-in translator able to use their old speakers to give direct translations of the words signed.
