Waité Tonix

Waité was born into a rather common family in Vietnam, living in a village that farmed rice. Her mother, a native to the land, was kind, caring, and worked in the farms while her father was a soldier during this time of the Tay Son rebellion. Having been born into a time of conflict, life wasn't always so easy, and she would rarely see her father at all. Despite that, she looked up to him for his bravery and skill. On her 12th birthday, he surprised her with a visit in which he had brought a gift; a soldier's sword. Two years later she would escape alone from her village as it was attacked during the wartime.

For the next three years she would travel without destination, fighting off monsters that roamed the world so freely at the time. She had become a lost soul, never being able to settle down, never even knowing how far she had travelled from her home, or if it even existed anymore. Eventually she stumbled across a trading town inhabited by Nomadu, a mosnter species, where she met Alise, and was finally able to fit in and settle down.

However, the town was burned down by a nearby human kingdom after a band of Ryaku demons had destroyed one of their mercenary scouting leigons, an act that resulted in the town taking the blame. This doomed the town to a war that they had no chance of winning; Waité had pleaded with the leader of the Ryaku group to assist in their own mess, but he was unable to, knowing that intervention by him in order to save humans would incite other demon species to attack his kind.

This caused her to fly into a blind rage when she met the demon a second time while fleeing from the burning town with Alise, activating her ability to spark in the process. The Ryaku, pained from this outcome, promised to take Alise to safety before knocking Waité out to save her from her own damaging power. Splitting them here, she would be left alone in her search for half a decade.

After all that time she did find Alise again, who was travelling with a man named Keita. She ended up travelling with them, the three going wherever they pleased for months at a time. The only stain on this otherwise perfect life was the fact that they found themselves constantly being hunted by demons. Waité had been under the impression that they were after Alise for being the last of her kind...but soon found out via one demonic scout that it was she herself being hunted, for a reason she did not yet understand. With this knowledge, she decided there was no other choice then but to split from Alise and Keita in order to protect them, promising that they would meet up again, once she was strong enough to defeat the demons for goood.

Sadly that promise would not be kept. Nearly ten years passed, and during a fight with an unknown combatant she had been heavily injured, having lost her arm in the process. Bleeding out, her last thoughts were of nothing else but seeing those two again, if only for a moment. They had been hot on her trail even so after catching wind of her from village folk, but were too late. Only minutes after her final breath, they found her body laying against a tree, dead.

She woke up, confused and in nothing but darkness; this she would find out to be her void. Her soul, so badly wanting to stay in the land of the living, had held on, keeping her from passing completely. Not knowing how much time had passed, once she had began to want to find out, her soul split in half to give light to another life, which would form into the young soul of Deax. Her remaining half would need years to heal to normal, however her somewhat physical form still remained with a missing arm, which saddened her a bit. From the void however, she was able to observe how the world went on, having found that roughly 250 years had passed. Through Deax, she even found Alise once again as he met her during his life.

With nearly 20 years of her soul healing, she was able to fully leave the void as a human once more, but decided to stay and assist Deax in his many journeys when he was younger, until he finally somehow ended up meeting Abraxas, who pulled her from the void upon their meeting. She was prepared to attempt to kill him as she had found out that it was he who had sent demons to hunt her all those years ago. All of a sudden he decided the most bizarre thing; that they would marry for a higher chance of creating offspring who would carry the Unique ability of an immortal soul. Completely dumbfounded, and half threatened since Deax and his friends were being held somewhat hostage, she accepted this, and somehow, things would end up working out in ways no one could have imagined, leading to even crazier things today...
