Ace X. Scholl's Links
They're not exactly rivals, though most of Ace's job is all about debunking the power of Valentine's perfumes and colognes. He himself is a little pessimistic about the idea of love forged through a love potion, so he pushes himself a little more when it comes to jobs revolved around Valentine.
They're not necessarily rivals, though Valentine HATES when Ace finds faults with his perfumes and colognes. These were made - AND PERFECTED - after centuries of family recipes being passed down. They're undoubtedly far superior to the old love arrows, and have a much better chance at finding one's true love! Yet Ace is always trying to break up couples, what a horrible cupid!
[Rivals?] One of the cafes Ace works at - as well as the one he spends most of his time at - is just across the street from Eros's. Working from across not just a cupid but THE cupid! Who knew! Maybe it's because of his status that Ace gets a thrill from breaking up Eros's couples, or at least stealing away his customers.
Eros was genuinely happy to see another cupid spreading love just like himself, but started noticing some of his customers missing. The man is kind, but the way he tries breaking up Eros' couples and even daring to lure his beloved customers make him freeze up and stare in frustration. Perhaps Eros should work on his appeal more...and maybe bring back his customers and even steal some of Ace's as well.
When Slade started working at the same cafe as Ace, he took him under his wing and tried to get him to be more social, and to emote more! Slade's a good guy, just scary-looking, and there seems to be some kind of wall built around his heart, so the cupid wants to do everything he can to help him fall in love again, even if it goes against his job!
Slade hadn't quite been sure what to think when Ace had started talking to him, he was a coworker and not a horrible person. But, he was odd. Whenever Slade was around Ace would push him to get orders for people who are interested in him. He doesn't always catch this, but the times he does, he understands his coworker doesn't know his past. Despite all of that, he does enjoy the man's company.
[AU] Ace may not love people, but he does enjoy love stories and people talking about their relationships happily. So whenever he gets visits from Otto, he wants to hightail it out there! Otto's a... a good guy? He's nice enough but boy howdy does he give the cupid the creeps.
[TH AU] Otto is clearly infatuated with the Ace, although it is possible this may be a passing fancy like a majority of others. He enjoys visiting Ace at his cafes, anyhow, and is intent on showering him with gifts and getting as much attention as possible in return. It's just a shame he can't take a hint. Or doesn't want to.
[AU] Now, Ace may be a cupid, but he's not one of the kinds that brings couples together. Needless to say, he's pretty bad at it. He thought he knew a few tips and tricks at least, but his teachings always seem to fail when it comes to Leika (though he'll never tell her). He'll keep trying, though, because he's really rooting for her.
[TH AU] "What's up sugerbreath!" She would say as she paraded around with a false phone number. Leika's smooth talking and flirting isnt great and even though she follows Ace's teachings by heart, she never seem to get it right!
Ace has always been against the innovation of Cupid-kind. It wasn't that he was against making things better, he just doesn't think THIS is better. MAKING a Cupid? An artificial Cupid? That's a recipe for disaster, in his opinion. How can a robot feel, anyway? And what if more get made and take away all the Cupids' jobs?
Sorrel holds no ill will towards Ace - it's doing its hardest to let him have his opinion, and actually goes out of its way to seem very stiff, preprogrammed, and monotone around him. It sees its main purpose as being the fulfillment of its job, so it's fine with Ace not liking it - and it's even fine with the idea of being shut down if enough cupids decide the experiment has failed. At least, as long as the first of its kind remains the only of its kind. Who knows what would happen if it had a sibling to protect...but it doesn't!
Everyone has favorite customers, but for Ace he'd consider Nikolai his least favorite. He breaks couples up if their love isn't strong enough, but Nikolai does it just for the hell of it! He gives love a terrible name, and he can't stand serving this guy coffee.
A strange man, that Ace is. He's in just about every coffee shop the Sin goes to! Is he stalking him...? What's more interesting, no matter when Nikolai's there or which cafe he's at, Ace is always flirting with someone! Maybe he considers the Sin competition instead?
Ace actually worked at the same cafe as Ray back before his change into a Sin. What happened wasn't fair at all. He wished Ray hadn't changed like that, though. Doesn't he see what he's become?
Who is this nobody? Who cares, make sure the drink doesn't have whole milk!
