Vana was created by Clementine shortly before she succeeeded in her experiments into immortality. It's unclear whether she was intended as apart of her immortality research or just created on a whim, but either way she was successful enough that Clementine kept her around to study. Her very existance as a vampiric android, a combination of technology and the occult, was seen as heresy by the rest of the college and most scholars avoid her, perhaps even more than they avoid Clementine. She now works as Clementine's assistant, doing whatever odd jobs she finds too tedious to do herself, and sustains herself off of her blood.
Vana is generally reserved around people she likes, especially when compared to Clementine. However with most people she can be standoffish or even outright rude. Despite showing very little expression on her face she experiences the full range of human emotion. She generally approaches things with cold logic, but can be quite caring towards those she's attached to. This also comes with a somewhat possessive side, and she can be aggressive to those she things have even the slightest chance of putting her loved ones in danger.

- She can drink any type of blood but her favorite is type O.
- While she's technically employed by the university, she refuses to do anything unless ordered by Clementine and will simply avoid other researchers.
- Unlike most androids she's not programmed with any parameters for not harming humans. Definitely illegal.
Creator
Vana is deeply devoted to Clementine, though it's impossible to say whether that's due to her own emotions or simply her programming. She has a deep respect for her and is happy to do whatever is needed to achieve her goals without question. Though she treats her a bit like a treasured little sister, Vana has a suspicion that Clementine isn't nearly as invested in her as she is in Clementine. She's not overly concerned however, and is happy enough with whatever attention she does give her. She can be overprotective and often standoffish to those she thinks might be a threat to her.
Coworker
Vana and 218 get along fairly well, though their relationship isn't strong enough to be called friends. While she was initially critical of Clementine's decision to keep him around in case he held a grudge against her, she mellowed out once she realized that wasn't the case. Since they both have fairly reserved personalities they're comfortable spending most of their time in silence with Clementine doing enough talking for both of them.
Acquaintance
Despite her generally casual nature, Vana is extremely suspicious of Diantha, seeing the Exorcist's Guild (and Diantha by extension) as a possible threat to Clementine and her research. She makes no effort to be friendly or helpful when she visits, to the point where her attitude borders on open hostility. She respects Clementine's desire to stay on good terms with her, however, and keeps herself in line, at least as long as she doesn't pose a definite threat.
