About

Your name is Orin, and you are the Zacian of the world. You are the older brother of Alexandra (Zamazenta) and take the role of the God of Hope. You were created for the purpose of dealing with Eternatus. Your job is not to harm him. While Eternatus was causing problems, your creator (Arcanus the Arceus) sent you to attempt to calm him down so you can properly make him a God. However, things didn't go well. At seeing Eternatus prepare an Eternabeam and realizing the damage it could cause with it, you and Alex decided to strike at its core before it can fire the move and harm the humans that you chose to follow. Thankfully, the explosion that followed didn't kill you. Eden (Mew) made sure of that. However, you still received enough damage that you and your sibling ended up into a coma for many years.

After 3000 years, you awaken within Slumbering Wheld. Someone has entered the forest with an unusual aura that seemed familiar. However, the only thing you recall is your name, Alex being your sister and the idea that this forest was your home. This annoys you to the point that you find yourself embarking on a journey to discover your identity. Of course, you have the help of the man who entered the forest (who called himself Katsu). Granted, you more so forced him to help you as you wouldn't stop bothering him. As you explore Galar, pieces of your memory return to you. Some make you wonder if you're normal for a Pokemon while some make you wonder why does this Samael guy seem so familiar.

Height:
6'1 ft (185.42 cm)
Weight:
176 lbs (79.8 kg)

Appearance:

Orin takes the appearance of a handsome, adult man. He has slightly tan skin with a slight muscular built. To the mortal eye, he can honestly be described as having the aura of that of a hero...or a cosplayer...perhaps both. Scars littered his body, but are rarely seen due to the outfits that he tend to wear. His ears are that of a canine's with blue fur and a gray inning. A good chunk of his right ear is missing. His blue hair is braided into a ponytail that reaches his chest. The bangs frame his face and his hair gradients to pink. His eyes are bright yellow.

Orin is seen with a brige uniform shirt with bright blue sleeves and darker blue cuffs. Over the shirt is a blue waistcoast with yellow buttons and a pink pocket. His shirt is tucked into his bright blue pants that are held up by his dark blue belt with pink metallic pieces. His boots are a mixture of blue, black and pink and a cresent necklace with a orange ball can be found around his neck. Completing the outfit is a pink cape.

Notes:
  • The scars that littered his bottom and the mission portion of his right ear came from his battle with Nathaniel.
  • The necklace found around Orin's neck is something that he received from his younger sister when he saw her on the way to Stow-On-Side.
  • Oddly enough, Orin only needs his glasses whenever he's in his Gijinka form. When he's in his Pokemon form, that's not the case.
  • Despite being fond of it, Orin rarely wears his cape unless he feels it's neccesary or he feels like impressing someone.
  • The ears on Orin's hair are real and capable of moving slightly. Most of the time, they tend to react with his emotions.
  • Orin hair comes out of its braid whenever he's resting or in the middle of a serious battle.
    • Occasionally, he may put it within a small bun if he feel like having it in a more simplier hair style.
    • Speaking of his hair, Orin's hair comes down to the middle of his back when it's out of its usual braid.
  • Orin loves trying out new outfits to the point that Katsu often avoid going to clothing stores with him because he knows Orin is going to somehow convince him to buy him new outfit.
  • When he takes his Crowned form in his Gijinka form, he sprouts yellow wings from his back and armor that takes elements of his Pokemon Crowned Sword form (such as the helmet/crown).

Personality

Traits

  • Loyal
  • Intelligent
  • Adventurous
  • Charismatic

Likes

  • Pranks. He doesn't pull them often, but he still enjoys messing around with Katsu and the others on occasionally.
  • Fighting. The male is a battle hungry dog and will fight everyone he feels will give him a challenge.
  • Love. The man is both a hopeless romantic and someone who deeply values love as it's one of the few things that tend to make him happy.
  • Curry. It's one of the first human foods he had in god knows how long...and it's simply just delicious.

Dislikes

  • Cats. He simply does't like the vibe they tend to have when he interacts with them.
  • Being abandoned. He can't stand the idea of being disregarded like some cheap toy.
  • Anyone hurting his family and friends. For the love of God, never do that if you want to live.
  • Loud noises. He has very sensitive ears, so loud noises could potentially tick him off very easily.

A hero is born among a hundred, a wise man is found among a thousand, but an accomplished one might not be found even among a hundred thousand men."-Plato

Being the God of Hope, it's no surprise that Orin has an optimistic, fun-loving demeanor. When combined with his charisma, Orin comes off as a gentleman. With the ability to bring a smile on most people's faces, he often addresses most people he doesn't know formally. With that aside, Orin isn't the type that backs down from a challenge easily. Through sheer determination, Orin will do whatever it takes to overcome the trial, especially when it involves the safety of his loved ones. He is willing to get hurt if it means protecting those he loves in the process. It's his determination that feeds into his loyalty. However, it can lead to him being overprotective to the point he acts childish (thus making it tiresome for his allies to deal with). Despite all of this, the male is rarely the type to get hotheaded and emotional over things. Yes, there are times where the male can be overdramatic and whatnot. However, that's mostly for show. When the male is not acting overdramatic, he takes on a more relaxed and calm attitude that allows him to approach things without getting too emotional in the process.

Orin's childish and fun-loving attitude gives him a craving for adventure. To him, he believes the best way to get the most out of a fun adventure is by avoiding taking the easy way out. To him, it cheapens the experience and limits the growth one has. For him, he values that growth as it allows others to become stronger and smarter. In a way, it is something that he uses as a means to help Katsu grow as a trainer. Going back to Orin's intelligence, the legendary Pokemon is a genius when it comes to fighting. While the male behavior during battle can come off as being similar to a wild animal, he does rely on his intelligence as a means to win his battles. It doesn't take much for the male to figure out a trick to turn the tides. However, on that same note, the male is ruthless during battle. He's rarely the type to hold back and can be monstrous if it's entertaining him.

Fighting Style

One thing that should be noted is that Orin will only take his Crowned Sword form whenever he fights a foe that is worthy of its strength. After all, there's no ignoring the fact that form itself can rival Samael's strength. As such, he's primarily found in his Heroes of Battle form. Orin is a physical attacker that relies on his speed as a means to deliver quick and heavy blows. He's not the type that tends to hold back even while he's in his Heroes of Battle form as he does recognize that enemies could use that against him if he's not careful. Much like his owner, he is a strategist and is often mindful of how his enemies fight. If he feels the need to change the way he handles things, he will if it means it will help him out.

Hope Embodiment

It's clear that Orin is the God of Hope. As such, he is able to do various things that carries ties to the emotion. His most important power is inducing hope. With this, Orin is able to bestow hope to those who lack hope within themselves or remind himself that he needs it to move forward. This power is something that he unconsciously uses as it's something that he channels through his personality. Whenever his owner is down, he's always there to push him foward so he can be stronger and feed into his determination. When Orin uses it on himself, he uses it to push through the impossible and continue to remain standing despite the odds. To him, his hope is his inner boost to not give up.

Enhanced Swordsmanship

Orin has a natural aptitude for the ways of the sword, allowing him to wield it with incredible expertise in speed, power, and skill. With it, he can decimate large objects, deliver skillful strikes to weak points with great precision and cut through solid objects. The use of the blade is something that rivals the swordsmanship of the Swords of Justice. The Zacian is able to operate with little or no effort as it's so ingrained in him. Orin doesn't really need to rely on his Rusted Sword to fight. He is able to craft a sword of fairy energy to fight if he has to.

Chivalry

Orin and Alexandra were trained as knights. As knights, they manifest great courage and nobility at all times, especially in the face of adversity. They serve as a face of order and are often mistaken as being perfect. Their compassion and selfness for others makes it easier for others to trust them and join forces with them. They inspire to grow stronger and are rarely the type that gives us easily. They are skilled when it comes to combat and are able to pick up on how a enemy fights over the course of a battle. While they can act as a one-man army (depending on who they're fighting), they are much stronger together as they are able to cover for the flaws of the other. This is a fact that can be noted when it comes to their stats.

The Hero of Battles

It was clear that Eternatus was going to be a problem when Zygarde reported to Arceus the instability the dragon caused with its presence. Zygarde was the God responsible for looking over the ecosystem of the world. As such, spotting the growing threat of Eternatus was something they couldn't ignore. Eternatus was a living Plague and was causing more trouble than its worth. However, Arceus didn't do anything. He always enjoyed keeping a eye on the situation before he made any hasty decisions. From his experience, he realized how rushing decisions could potentially make things worse.

It would be 17,000 years after Eternatus arrival into the planet that Arceus would do something. By that time, Eternatus had grown to the point where his hungry for disease ridden Pokemon grew insuffient and it proceeded to consume the energy in Galar as well as infect people with the diseases that linger in its body to consume them. From this, his power grew wild and sparked what was known as the "Darkest Day". On this day, many Pokemon experience the phenomenon of Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing. This new surge of power drove Pokemon mad and left people fearful for their life.

It was from there, Arceus decided that it was time to release the two Gods that he had crafted years ago with Mew and trained to help deal with Eternatus when the time would come.

One was a female wolf that is said to be majestic and regal. With the shield that coated her body, she can fend off many attacks as the shield's strength is said to prevent the claws of dragon Pokémon from scraping it. Her resolve is unyielding and she was said to be based off of Terrakion and Cobalion. The other God was a male wolf that was graceful and beautiful. With the shield that it held, it was said to be able to cleave through almost everything (including the scales of dragon Pokémon). His confidence was high and he was said to be based off of Keldeo and Virizion. The female wolf was named Alexandra while the male wolf was named Orin.

Orin and Alexandra carried the duty of calming Eternatus urges. After all, the Pokemon wasn't evil. He was just trying to survive through what he thought was right. Orin and Alexandra were blessed with weapons that allowed them not to give into the virus that coursed through Eternatus veins. However, these two Gods weren't alone on their journey. They had the help from two humans that would later end up as the first kings of Galar. The two wolves needed the humans help so they would trust them. The last thing they needed is a human lashing out at them and getting hurt just because they were Pokemon. Together, the four would travel across Galar until they would eventually stumble upon Eternatus after pushing through Dynamax Pokemon that were in the way.

The battle between Eternatus, Orin and Alexandra was a intense one. Blood was shed and the environment they battled in was torn apart. The two wolves would eventually strike Eternatus core, triggering Eternatus into charging up his powerful signature move: Eternabeam. Realizing the dangers of the move and the fact it could kill the humans, the two wolves sacrificed themselves to protect the humans by striking the core to weaken the attack while taking in the incoming move.

But, they didn't die.

Mew made sure they didn't. The Eternabeam did hurt the wolves badly, but Mew was there to ensure they didn't die from it. She reduced the damage done by the move and teleported the three to safety. Eternatus was placed in a area that he would safety recover as the attacks done by the solves forced him into his core form. The wolves were taken to Slumbering Wheald, where they would lay comatose as a means to recover. The illusions of the forest and the Pokemon would be their guardians as they recover. Their weapons would be later returned to them in the years that follow. However, they would remain unused as the wolves recovered. The dogs would sleep...

....until Katsu came into the forest.

Orin was the one to open his eyes after so many years of slumber. There was something about Katsu that told him that he needed to arise...he needed to prepare...he needed to protect his new home. However, when he opened his eyes, those thoughts vanished. They vanished like his memories. He knew that his name was Orin, and he was a Pokémon. He assumed this forest was his home, and the sleeping wolf (Alex) next to him was related to him in some way. That was about it. That was all he can honestly recall. He didn’t really take the time to think over this as his body urged him to try to find the one who has entered his...home. That one being Katsu. When he met Katsu, something in Orin told him that he reminded him of someone. He’s not sure who, but whoever it was someone he seemed to like. As such, Orin is obligated to like him. However, he couldn’t stay with him for too long as something in him told him he didn’t have to time to do that. He had things to worry about. Those things being his memories. As such, the male left and returned back to the side of Alex when the female started to wake up. Much like himself, she only recalled her name, and the fact she was a Pokémon. However, she didn’t recall this place being her home and had the knowledge that they were siblings. How strange. Regardless, the two spent as much time as they can together, attempting to find out the truth behind their missing memories and identities. It was a search that wouldn’t make any significant progress until Orin met Katsu again.

The circumstances was a bit more different with Katsu being joined by Hop and a few new Pokémon. However, the ending was the same. Orin would cause a bit of mischief and leave the group passed out with the help from a few Pokémon in the area. This time, though, Orin felt that strange familiarity he had with Katsu growing stronger. This bothered him to the point that Orin decided that it was time he find out the truth behind what was going on and followed Katsu. Alex did warn him not to, but he didn’t listen. Besides, he knew the fact that Alex was probably going to leave him to follow Hop with the way she rambled about him after seeing him. As soon as Katsu left Postwick to start his Pokémon journey, Orin was silently trailing behind him.

However, it wouldn’t be too long before Katsu noticed him.

Admittedly, using Katsu as a bed in the middle of the night while his team was in his tent wasn’t exactly the smartest option. However, Orin didn’t think that Katsu would actually wake up since he originally thought that he slept like a brick. Turns out that’s not the case and this lead to Katsu and his Pokémon getting in a screaming match with Orin. Orin would be the one to calm them down and inform them that he was attempting to discover his identity and he felt as if Katsu was the answer to that. Needless to say, this simply confused the hell out of Katsu and he nearly kicked Orin out until the male mentioned that he could help him teach him a few things about battles in a exchange for his assistance. Katsu accepted....mostly because he wanted as much help as he can to kick Leon’s ass and the dog did interest him (and Samael the Giratina).

Oh, if Katsu knew what that dog was going to get him into.
