Akira Haru

BIO

Akira is a teenage girl born in Daffodil Town, currently living in Windsong Square with Orianne and Aquami. Once a well-loved member of Foxfire, Akira studied the arts of Luximancy and Aeromancy, and always dreamed of flying. Though raised in the very quiet Daffodil Town, she always admired the great dragons ruling over Windsong, and the first time she saw one of them take on their animal form and take to the skies, she was stunned. She wanted to touch the clouds and see the world in a whole new way. So when she learned of the high-level Lightwings spell, she was immediately taken with it and began studying how it worked.

Alas, things did not go as planned- Akira's first and only attempt to cast Lightwings just so happened to coincide with Elidra's arrival in Windsong, which caused a tremendous pulse of abberant Chaos magic to tear through all of Windsong. This disrupted the spellcasting process, causing the "temporary" Lightwings to ingrain themselves into Akira's back and take on a dark, smokey appearance. These broken Lightwings are an occurrence that has never been seen before or since, and when Akira went to the Foxfire Triad to try and get it fixed, they were utterly baffled. Unable to help her, they simply took notes to study this for later.

It was only in the final battle with Elidra that Akira finally recieved the wings she truly wanted. Her broken Lightwings reacted violently to Elidra's mixture of Chaos and Xenomagi, twitching erratically and wracking Akira's body with pain- completely incapacitating her, and leaving Sirenne open for attack. Akira was tightly clutching the Harmonia Peridot, which turned out to be her bonded Harmonia Shard, and right on time, it and the other two shards fused with her and her friends, turning them into Harmonia Fusions. Becoming a Harmonia Fusion was the little magical kick her wings needed to form properly, dispelling the Chaos magic inhibiting their proper formation. They're still permanent, and can't be dispelled at will like Nithya's can, which is a side-effect of the initial disruption of the spell that can't be fixed. It doesn't seem like she minds, though, seeing as they work properly now.

Akira is very excitable, bubbly, and lovey beyond belief, usually trying to be chummy with people before deciding they're evil. She has a tendency to put her friends before herself, and is very, very compassionate toward them. She has mellowed out a little from her old self after becoming a Harmonia Fusion, however. Despite her affectionate, kind nature, she still knows when it's time to get serious- and as those who know her know very well, an angry Akira is a terrifying Akira.

Unfortunately, she had to leave Foxfire after forming the Heroes of Windsong with Orianne and Aquami, but she's still on good terms with the Foxfire crew and occasionally visits with them to see how things are going.
