Shusui is a charming and friendly cat merchant. He's not the brightest crayon in the box, and tends to forget things a lot, but he always means well and his cheery attitude is contagious. He's carefree, welcoming, and warm to everyone he meets, and he's always a willing ear to listen and support you in any way that he can.

He's easily intimidated by threats or violence, and easily convinced of silly things at times- as he doesn't always see the evil in the world rightaway, meaning he doesn't really doubt things that people tell him since "Why would they lie?". He is beloved by his community and often supported by their good will. He probably wouldn't make it on his own otherwise, as he's just too small to fish enough or make very great strides towards independence without some help.

He is determined and tries his best to always keep his promises, and isn't afraid of a little hard work. His only real limitation is his small size and his lack of book-smarts. 

Shusui is a humble fishercat that catches fish at the local docks and then sells them at his tiny stand in the marketplace. He makes a gold piece or two- just enough to earn up a small savings. He lives in an upturned small boat- that he's used his little gold pile to build up into a small cozy home. He's very crafty with his paws- whether it be for catching fish or trying to make home improvements- (Though he does sometimes request the help of those with thumbs.

While other fisherman are around with bigger and fancier stalls and its rare for Shusui to sell more than one or two fish at a time, his community generally finds his efforts admirable and appreciates the heart he has to build a life for himself, and as such they always buy his fish anyways. Handing him a coin where he'll run off- forgetting his stand completely, straight to his home to put it in his little jar.

He lives a quiet, but comfy life. He catches his own food- eating fish of course, but his neighbors often give him snacks too.
