Capricious in the extreme, can't resist a joke or a prank, deeply adores all living things and abhors death or endings.

Appearance

Variable and ever-changing, inherently unstable, incapable of holding a single form for long.

At its simplest, Zanza takes the form of pale worm-like mass with scarlet insides. These worms can multiply and merge and combine into larger and more cohesive forms, as well as merge and parasitize or take over other living things.

In humanoid form, Zanza takes a shape resembling a jester or Commedia dell'Arte harlequin. It wears a long, pointed cap that covers where its eyes would be, and is always grinning. Its teeth and insides are usually bright red in every form.

Relationships

Tzilviio - (belongs to @deadwooddross) Primordial god of death and decay. It and Zanza are absolute BFFs and jointly responsible for many little evolutions and creations just to impress and entertain each other.

Story

Zanza was one of many primordial "creators" that nudged and uplifted early life in its world. It survived the destruction of its kind, though split into hundreds or thousands of fragments, and has slowly been trying to put itself back together ever since

Trivia

• Zanza was created as a trickster god for a Blades in the Dark game
• Zanza once decided to make a sea snake immortal and infinitely growing, but only growing in length, so somewhere out there is an indefinitely long rope of snake with no clear beginning or end, just doing snake things
• Zanza's name is based on the Italian word for Mosquito, and their original form was based on the same insect
