"The Oracle will bear no name; they will have no allegiance. They will serve the goddesses, and, in turn, ensure the goddesses serve us mortals of Astarad."

The Oracle is trained from birth to serve under the two goddesses, Solstice and Twilight. With all bearing the same name (or lack there of), it is hard to determine exactly how many there have been - but there has been one ever since the goddesses made themselves known in their human-esque forms to their worshipers on Astarad. The current Oracle has been serving the goddesses since he was a teen, and is now in his late 20s.

Oracle struggles with both the goddesses not being exactly as he was taught - or how he imagined. Solstice is very outgoing and friendly, and strangely has flaws - something he was unprepared for coming in. Twilight, on the other hand, first showed herself to him soaked in blood (beet juice), and she always seems to appear with a strange gift at the worst possible times, like when he's alone in the bath, or through an open window during a snowstorm...

He tries to restrain himself as he was taught - to be polite and bring the needs of mortals to the goddesses, as well as the words of the goddesses to the greater world. But he has a mischevious streak, a love of drama (especially theatre), and a soft spot for animals. Oracle is beginning to think his whole religion needs an update on how to prepare Oracles for the job. He's writing a book about it.

Relationship summary:

Solstice: Oracle's nemesis and best friend, unfortunately. She keeps trying to break his decorum and achieves success more often than he likes to admit. And where did she get more candy from...?

Twilight: she's so nice, but also she is terrifying, and he is Constantly Scared of her. He has been known to squeak in her presence, but he will deny ANY rumours he has cried in fright.

Ramin: Oracle is pretty sure Ramin hates him, but he's fine with it, since Ramin hates everyone. It's his thing. Kind of like a gruff uncle who doesn't talk to you but still slides you $50 as he leaves.

Oz: tfw the cute boy who shows up unannounced at your place of work is also the unholy devil-spawn that is supposed to kill the two goddesses you protect. But. He's cute.
