Profile

Zara was friends allies with Amvira in High School. The High Schools in hell are brutal, taking all the worst things from Earth's high schools, making them worse, and stretching it out over 10 years. Students are encouraged to cheat on assignments and tests without getting caught, form cliques and alliances, and use strength and cunning to intimidate each other into helping with homework assignments. Shal'Zar and Amvira were in the same grade, so they had to deal with the same teachers and the same enemy students together. Zara was cunning enough for the two of them, gathering info on students, blackmailing them for their notes, and using them to tutor Amvira. In exchange, Amvira was the muscle, protecting Zara when she got caught, or helping Zara intimidate a secretive teacher's pet.

And so, this went on for 10 years, and Amvira would have never graduated in time without Zara's help. Hell's culture would force them the whole time to only treat each other as allies, ready to abandon the other if they lose their value and become a burden... but deep down they both considered the other to be a friend.

Sometime after graduating from High School, Zara was summoned to Earth, and bound by demonic contract, to become an assassin for a mercenary group. They outfitted her with high tech armor, rollerblades, and a railgun. The armor is specially designed to help her maintain a human size so that she can blend in with humans under a glamor. The railgun was powered by her electric powers as a Storm Fiend, and fires high velocity magnetic slugs. So, for a few years, she was forced to kill people until she could weasel her way out of her demonic contract. And eventually, a chance came.

Zara got a new job, this time from Amvira's parents: Kill Amvira. Of course, as a demon, this death would not be permanent, but it would force Amvira to "respawn" in Hell, back under the supervision and control of her parents. But, Zara took this oppurtunity to renew her friendship alliance with Amvira and get help weaselling her way out of her contract. She was certainly surprised and bemused to see Amvira as the leader of, what was essentially, a group of vigilantes. By this point in time, Amvira and Lydia didn't care about the contract between themselves, and Amvira was helping to protect the world out of her own free will.

Zara has a cold and callous exterior. She doesn't talk or joke much, and is very serious about most things. She's super cunning and brutal, and is much more willing to kill enemies than anyone else in the party. A Hellborn demon through and through, she doesn't understand at first why Amvira is wanting to help protect her friends and the Earth in general without anything in exchange, and is only letting Amvira boss her around because of their alliance and their shared history... but Zara eventually comes to understand the importance of selflessness, realizes she would have always been willing to selflessly help Amvira, and rejects Hell's culture just as she does. Despite Zara's seriousness, over the years she had grown to tolerate, and eventually love, Amvira's goofy and lackadaiscal nature. Over her time on Earth, Zara has also learned to love the human invention of Anime, but much to Princess Angela's horror, she's a super-casual anime fan and watches english dubs. (even though, as a demon, she has the gift of tongues and can learn Japanese easily!)

  • Despite Zara's menacing size, she's nowhere near as physically strong or durable as she looks. However, she loses no strength while in her shrunken "human" form.
  • Zara can maintain a human size even without her armor, but it's uncomfortable to do for long periods of time, like wearing a corset. Her armor reduces the discomfort.
  • Zara is somewhere on the demi/grey ace spectrum, and has a slight crush on Amvira... she's never really had a crush on anyone before though.
  • The rollerblades Zara wears are also high-tech in nature, capable of easily switching to boots, and they increase her speed overall.
  • Zara has no internal organs, technically. Her skin is translucent, rigid, and completely hollow, making her look like a humanoid Plasma Globe. When Zara eats, the food is disintegrated and stored in her skin.
  • Zara does have a brain, though, and it's in the center of her torso.
  • If you grabbed both of Zara's horns, you'd get a really bad shock.
  • Gives EVERYONE nicknames.

In-Game Fighting Style

Zara's a sniper. She can't move and attack on the same turn, and she can't hit people too close to her, but she moves fast and hits hard. Very high accuracy, very high damage, but very low defensive stats. Zara's two promotions are to Scout and Artillery. Scout gives her more mobility options, and ways to get around besides just pure speed, and also let her have a sidearm to protect herself in close quarters combat. Artillery makes her better at what she's good at: attacking from afar. She also gets good magical AoE attacks from that, too.
