Darsanam

the avatar of mana, and patron deity of enchanters.

instead of a temple, Darsanam resides within an exclusive, lavish (and almost temple-like in itself) enchanter's college to the east of the Archives where he personally instructs promising students of the craft in the more nuanced and advanced techniques, often so that they can go on to teach others themselves. this is valued and sought-after instruction, as Darsanam himself is the first and originating practitioner of the art of enchanting.

he has personally authored many texts on the subject that are used by many self-learning the art. despite being the one who brought enchanting to the mortal world, as an avatar he is still bound by the laws of mana and is always looking to push the limits of his craft as far as he can.

graduates of the avatar's instruction are given a delicate crystal crown similar to his own, that many wear with pride. that isn't to say, however, that these crowns don't find their way into the black market occasionally, and fetch exorbitant prices -- usually by novice or mid-level street enchanters that have the coin. considered sacrilegious to wear when not earned, however, most simply keep it as a trinket.

others, however, disregard those taboos for their own business gain.
