About...
The High Cleric of Sarens - the religious leader of the theocratic government - and holder of that title for may centuries, Amalthea was born a disheveled orphan. One morning, while exploring the Serene City, she vaulted the wall that divided the Clerisy's temples from the city, and stumbled upon a sunshard. Touching it caused a beam of energy to radiate into the sky, bright enough to be seen from the shores of the Isle.
Ushered into the Clerisy's embrace afterwards, she was fed and clothed, and regularly convened with the sunshards. After a war between Iah-Yah and Sarens killed the previous High Cleric - who sacrificed their life to end the sparring - Amalthea rose to the position, to unanimous agreement.
The sunshards have blessed her with a horn capable of arcane magic and a quadruped form with which she can transverse the Tangle safely.
Personality...
Eccentric, to open with. Master of making connections and noticing patterns, but doesn't articulate this very well. Most of her commands and remarks can seem random, but there's definitely some underlying thread tying it all together. The position of High Cleric doesn't require much from her except deciphering many visions from the sunshards, which she excels at, anyways. Gentle and deliberate, but distant.
Despite the horn, still calls herself a pegasus. Also still doesn't think of herself as immortal.

Abilities...
Amalthea is Unflamed.
Powers...
Amalthea is capable of shifting into a quadrupedal, alternate form whenever she pleases. It is unaffected by the warping magics of the Maiden's Tangle, allowing her to transverse it safely and return home from excursions. In this form, she can understand and communicate perfectly normally. She finds the form exhausting to use.
