Kind, gentle, and mild are the primary terms that would come to mind in describing Lima. She tends to go with the flow, never appearing to take much seriously even in times of crisis, leaving dramatic actions and big decisions to others, and shrinking back into herself when asked for input. Though she has a big personality on stage, in life she is quite timid, and somewhat lacking in self-esteem.

Beneath her reserved shell, there is another part of Lima that wishes to shout out to the world, and get the recognition that even she doesn't believe she deserves. Despite everything, though, she is persistent, and works hard to get what she wants, for as much as she is able to.

From her youngest years, Aleema was serious about her craft. Growing up as the only child of a single mother, a high school teacher, Aleema took an early interest in music, first joining the junior orchestra at her primary school in the Fourth grade. Though she started as a flutist, Lima quickly became fascinated with stringed instruments, finally falling for her first and longest love, the viola.

Ever the model student, Lima excelled in school and in her musical studies, keeping up membership of various youth orchestras and landing herself an attendance at a high school for the performing arts. It was around then, however, that things began to swing out of her favour.

Around her teen years, Lima began to develop some concerns for her health. Originally writing it off as exhaustion from overworking (and thus a sign of failure), and then as a by-product of her heritage, she brushed off her recurring fatigue and continued to push herself. However, simply ignoring a problem does not make it go away, and by the time Lima was awarded a full ride scholarship to a renowned arts college, she was in no shape to accept it, and put schooling on hold after her graduation.

Lost and withdrawing into herself, Lima began to experiment with other styles of music, finding her love for deep harmonies extended out to the bass guitar. Local bands quickly took notice of her, and she took on temporary stints with some of them, even touring with a couple, until finally, she got her big break with a dark industrial band, The Promised Afterlife.

Of course, for Lima it seemed that what goes up must always come down. After a messy unfolding of events, Lima quit the band, and with her only social network of the past three years gone, thought that she might have to leave the music scene entirely. She fell into a deep depression, and moved to the city of South Rock for a change of scenery. However, talent always rises to the top, and by chance she found herself auditioning with a smalltime local band, Strangeh8, who had recently lost their bassist. She was accepted on the spot, and the rest is history.

With her life getting back on the right track, Lima finally started to address her health, and now has better ways to manage it. It may be a while still before she finds the place where she's truly meant to be, and gets the recognition she deserves, but she now finds herself surrounded by people who love and support her, and for now a place she can call home. Life hasn't always dealt her the fairest cards, but she refuses to let it get her down forever. After all, a star always shines brightest in the dark.

Was originally part of a band called The Promised Afterlife, within which she also was in a relationship with Weiss, the band's keyboardist/back-up vocalist. She officially stated that she left the band due to "creative differences," but in truth it was because of an incident between herself and the band leader, which left a huge emotional scar on Lima. The parting was abrupt and she has not had contact with any of them since.

After leaving TPA, she moved to South Rock. While looking for work, she fell into a deep depression, and isolated herself for months. By chance she came across a flyer that Slice posted on a local bulletin board looking for a bassist. She met Slice the same day, and her audition was scheduled ASAP.

An impulsive snacker with a particular hereditary fondness for the taste and texture of wood. She has inadvertently eaten Ballister's drumsticks on multiple occasions.

Is shy to take credit but she has a strong musical sense, and contributes a lot to the musical authorship of Strangeh8's songs. Her abilities and contributions were often dismissed during her time with TPA.

Currently earns a living as a session musician, on top of disability support. Quietly hopes that the band will make enough money soon that she can call herself fully self-sufficient.

Is uninterested in picking a label for her sexuality, but is open to a relationship with just about anyone kind of heart. She would consider herself sex-positive, and while she found it difficult to trust anyone for some time after moving to South Rock, she is currently in a steady poly relationship with two consenting individuals. She is deeply romantic, and at times impulsive, but her heart is always in the right place.

Went by the stage name "Versa" during her time with TPA, to pair with Weiss's "Vice." Most commonly goes by the shortened version of her first name out of old habit.

Though she is shy to talk about her disability, she has a sense of humor about it, and is open about letting the band know when she needs to rest when she realizes it, though she still often pushes herself too hard.

Stylish and sophisticated, Lima takes pride in her looks. Tall, broad and curvy with a bit of softness, she has a physical presence that would suggest more confidence than her meek manner. Her hair is usually in braids, decorated with beads and clasps, worn in a loose and flowing style. Her golden eyes, hereditarily meant for nocturnal vision, refract any excesses of light, giving them the appearance of sparkling.

In terms of fashion, Lima loves to experiment with a variety of styles, from the dark punk aesthetic favoured by her bandmates to soft and colourful spring get-ups. She is particularly fond of classic lolita style fashion, and a good portion of her paychecks and spare time go to raiding local shops for new finds and coordinating her outfits. Her wardrobe has enough options to clothe the whole band several times over—assuming any of the others were able to fill them out.
