Rudy, straight faced and deeply caught up in thoughts. He's always thinking of the best way to get things done. He's methodical, organized and a perfectionist to the point of serious self criticism. He has a desire to be knowledgeable and always right. When he's wrong he becomes stubborn. Arrogant, snarky and self centered as he is he's also passionate, warm and creative. Rudy has high ideals for what he thinks is right and holds everyone and himself to that standard. Constantly breaking the ideals he becomes frustrated with himself almost daily. He just wants to be good but has himself caught up in corruption through his attempts to help out a dear friend.

Once an empathetic, sincere and generous boy, now he's a hard egg to crack not allowing any to see beyond the walls. These walls protect him and all that he despises of himself. He's in search of an escape to once again be the unselfish, self-sacrificing and sentimental guy. Wants to have his old deep, unconditional love. Rudy wants to be someone's hero. He wants to be wanted.

Shadow Play

Can take the form of many different figures, usually appearing as a shadow to the regular eye. Can also become one with shadows and travel through them and attack people through them.

Inscriptive Magic

Spell casting using writing and symbols. Mostly uses runic type symbols He's got a variety of markings that he transcribes magic energy into. Once the energy is used up the marking fades away. Can write the spells on any surface and uses a pen that looks like a regular black marker. The pen can only be used with magic, otherwise it's useless and won't leave a mark on anything.

WIP

Rudy was born into slavery on planet Thu; both parents dead by the age of 2. Being a slave stuck in the mines he never left the desert. It was where thousands of slaves were kept and put to work. The moment he could walk he was given tools to use; digging or building or moving, whatever his task was for the day. The majority of slaves worked in a network of tunnels where they mined a dark blue-black crystal that had tiny white specks throughout it. As a kid he didn’t understand what the big deal was. Just stupid rocks. They didn’t seem that special.

When he was 10 years old there was an explosion in the section he was working on. A large midnight crystal hit him in the head, knocking him unconscious. He awoke to a few injured and dead people surrounding him. Due to the blast be had fragments of the crystals embedded all over his skin. And they were bleeding into him. Black spread through his veins, turning his skin into darkness. His heart raced as his limbs began disappearing into the shadows. It only took a moment, but that was the first time he became one with the shadows.

He spent the next few days dipping through the shadows of the mines, learning the ins and outs of his new found ability. By the end of the week he made his escape. Up and out of the mine maze and into the open desert. He easily travelled through shadows across the desert at night and went towards the first giant dome city he saw. There were always stories amongst the miners of fantastical cities in opalescent domes. Each one was supposed to be different and filled with all you could ever dream of.
