Goliath Silky dragons are a major issue in my species' world. They are long-lived predators that never stop growing - they eventually grow too large to fly, and die from not being able to find enough food to sustain themselves. Just before this point  they are incredibly dangerous and damaging - not only will they eat weavers, moana and other civilized species, they will usually completely knock out the prey populations within their territory. Different areas have different ways of "dealing" with silky dragons, but there's really not much that can be done once they reach a certain size.

Athena's the founder of a well respected group of warriors and skilled magicians that travel around the world, controlling silky populations to the best of their ability. Skilled in telepathic arts, she managed to tame a young silky (Labrys) that she uses to dispatch smaller dragons.
