About
Sparrow was born (June 18th | ♊) into a very large farming family in a sleepy little farming hamlet, where the flat fields are plentiful with sweet soil. He makes up part of sixteen siblings, of which are various younger ages than him-- he was delegated to growing into the 'motherly' sibling, but he took upon this task with relish, as he has with everything else thrown his way. He's very good at rolling with the punches.
His kindheartedness is the shining attribute others know him by, but this also comes at the cost of his sense of individuality; he's incredibly humble and polite, to the point of being considered a bit shy. He will try to find the good in anyone, and will make excuses for those that track behind when they need to be more diligent, maybe even to the point of picking up the workload in their stead.
His hard, never-ending work even as a child gave him a stern ethic to tolerating most foolishness and letting it slide right off of him, and this is the difference between him and an actual pushover.
He was still in the process of learning the ropes of handling most of the family farm when he was told by his parents that he was betrothed for a handsome dowry a suitor provided. In a whirlwind it was dawning on him that his parents were on hard times and hadn't thought to ask for any help from their (some now grown) children. Of course Arrow was trying to be accepting of his situation, but he also wasn't happy that he had no choice and was taken away from all he knew... Despite the betrayal, Arrow still adores his family and wishes he could live with them and also make good on this promise of marriage to his new betrothed.
It doesn't take long, however, for Arrow to realize there is a pleasant side to his newfound freedom, of which includes learning some things he would've never figured to happen in his life. And most importantly, he cannot deny how pleasant his suitor, Lore, can be, providing good company in ways different than he had grown accustomed to with his family. He certainly has more time now that he doesn't have to look after youngins and the farm, that's for sure!
Likes
- Chewing on wheat-- but not eating it.... he's a carnivore.
- Smoking pipe with his pa (it's a social interest, more to spend time with him)
- Learning to read and write
Dislikes
- The logistics of tending to payments for labor, cost of his (and his family's) labor, and so on
- Repairing and fixing technologies-- he's not good at it and doesn't like being reminded as much.
Trivia
- As written in his likes, Arrow is illiterate.
Where he was born and raised, it was a common thing, so he wasn't ashamed-- but having moved to Lore's neck of the woods, where folks are more rounded and capable, has made it embarrassing...
b- baby ~~!! I love him
