Baunwynn is a young spirit of the forest, who seems to also sometimes be the strange, mystical embodiment of an impish young boy.

Baunwynn in his normal unicorn form is a slim, rather gangly foal. He has a white coat which he is very picky about, and a short, tousled silver mane that curls around his horn. The golden horn on his head is in a relatively high spire and has a dull shine to it. It is not fully grown since he is still young. He is long-furred, like most unicorns, and has especially long fur on his cheeks, chest, thighs, and fetlocks/pasterns. He has a long tail with a sprout of silver fur at the end. He has blue eyes, and long golden eyelashes. The end of his muzzle is a peachy pink. He is about 4'5" to his shoulder blades when standing, and could reach up to 6'5" if he were to rear up.

Baunwynn in his human form is an unassuming young boy, save for his startlingly bright silver hair. He is on the thinner side, but covers this by usually wearing very floaty, puffy clothing. He is rarely seen without his brown cloak, and even more rarely with the hood down. Much like his unicorn form, he has blue eyes and long golden eyelashes, and a muss of tousled hair on his head. He often carries a mischievous look. He is 4'5".

Baunwynn has a very youthful outlook on life. He is sweet, and definitely inherited both his parents' tranquil natures- when need be. But, thanks to being young and naïve, he has also has quite the devious streak. Some of the denizens of the forest see him as a bit of a rascal. Often, playing little pranks helps him keep his mind off of the scary things in life. This cheekiness has got him into some trouble before, but really, Baunwynn just wants to spread good-hearted fun. He is high-spirited and will play with anything he can get his hooves on. He is quick to trust others, and sees everyone as a friend. He can be insolent at times, like any other child, and doesn't like having to share all too often. He also isn't good at dealing with responsibilities and rules.

Baunwynn's story takes place in Medieval Wales, where a world of high fantasy reigns and magic walks the earth. Here is an article about the specifics of the unicorn species in Baunwynn's world.

Baunwynn is a young unicorn, the only child of Madwynn, his mother, a gentle mare with a snow white coat, and Anwys, his father, a strong stallion with a silver mane and long beard. The forest he called home was in North Wales, around the modern day Coed y Brenin park.

Baunwynn, despite looking thin, was born a sturdy foal, and was able to keep up with his parents as they made their rounds of the forest. He inherited his mother's white coat and his father's silver mane.

Tragedy struck only a few years into Baunwynn's life when his father was captured by a rogue hunter for his precious horn. The hunter took him to a castle some ways away, and Baunwynn never saw him again. It is unknown if he survived. Baunwynn and his mother mourn his loss. Baunwynn is convinced that his father must still be alive and evading capture somewhere else. He strives, one day, to find him again and reunite their family.

In this current era of Baunwynn's life, he and his mother oversee a vast amount of forest land in the North. Baunwynn looks after the west, and his mother the east. Baunwynn occasionally finds this task either daunting or boring. He is technically not at an age where he should be taking care of his own land, but due to his father's absence, he must take the role. However, Baunwynn is grateful for looking after the western half, as it resides a short ways away from a river and a human village. Baunwynn was immediately intrigued by the settlement when he first came across it.

Unknown to his mother, Baunwynn enjoys disguising himself in his human form and getting to learn more about the strange ways of humans. He wonders if by getting close to them, he can find out where his father is. If his mother were to find out he was getting so close to the same kinds of creatures that captured his father years ago, Baunwynn would face a very dire punishment indeed.
