Eliandre

Eliandre comes from a noble family of Eladrin in the Laruis region. His parents wanted him to be a scholar so he spent most of his childhood stuck at home to study. The only thing he enjoyed was to spend time with the son of his family's horsekeeper, Otis. They were about the same age and had grown up together. Otis would often lure him outside to play and go on adventures together. At first, Eliandre's parents werefond of their little friendship but as he grew older, they decided that a higher class eladrin shouldn't meddle with a lowly human. Eliandre's timetable was even more stacked with courses and lessons to keep him away from Otis. That however didn't stop him and they kept secretly seeing each other to have fun and skip the most boring classes. As they became teenagers, they were still very close and were getting tired of always having to listen to their parents and follow whatever route they had decided for them. Otis and Eliandre decided to run away that day, to a place where they could live together and do whatever they want without being judged or scolded. They prepared everything for their escape and when the night fell, they were ready. They ran into the forest, excited by their newfound freedom. However the weather slowly turned bad, big clouds gathered and a stormed was coming. As the rain fell on them, the road became more and more muddy and hard to walk on. They kept walking no matter what, until they arrived to a suspension bridge. Otis wanted to try and find another more safer route but Eliandre rushed onto the bridge, not wanting to loose a single second. He arrived on the other side and waved at his companion. Otis followed his steps but the bridge began to tremble, he ran towards Eliandre, extending his hand towards him. Their fingers brushed, and the bridge collapsed right under his feet, dragging him into the abyss. Eliandre was absolutely broken by this, he called his name all night, crying and trying to find a way to save him but it was too late. His friend has just disappeared into the precipice. When his parents found him, he had passed out in the rain. Since that day, his family never let him out of their sight for a second, he was confined in his home, more than ever before. Eliandre withdrew into silence. As an Eladrin, his body is governed by seasons according to his feelings, after that traumatic event, he turned to his winter self, blue and cold as a symbol of grief. A year later, as he looked around the books in the library of the academy, he stumbled upon a dark looking tome, explaining a way to bring back to life the lost souls. His heart skipped a beat and he smuggled the book back home. He did not know what went wrong but the ritual failed horribly, turning back against him and leaving him with a dark scar accross his left hand, and still no friend back. Eliandre was filled with pain, he cried out at the sky for someone to take him out of his misery. This is when a divine message for the God Kelemvor came to him. "Death is part of the natural flow of life and it shouldn't be feared, trying to avoid it of go against it is futile. However dying before your time shouldn't happen either. By overcoming your grief and helping others to do the same, you'll find harmony and peace" Thanks to Kelemvor's words, Eliandre decided to follow his teaching and became a Kelemvor Cleric, leaving his family behind to follow his own path.
